Very unlucky, as with the not sending off Gattuso - but somehow it didn't matter in the end!The Baconator said:2-0 now, but perhaps a bit unlucky with the possible handball at the other end.
How silly one can look.Scaly piscine said:Carragher is not involved much because he's a right back, Gerrard basically just seems to defend all game and occasionally passes the ball sideways - he's not really influencing the game particularly like Terry, Lampard or Cole do.
The keeper should have saved the goal and I'd already pointed out that he'd scored after I said that.marc71178 said:Who scored a cracking goal and then did the stuff in the shootout.
And why not?!Scaly piscine said:Not if it's decided by penalties...
One game, which showed exactly how influential Gerrard could be if he went forward like Lampard does - but most of the season he has not done that.marc71178 said:How silly one can look.
Carragher has played centre half all season, and Gerrard was immense.
They've pointed out the farce that is if England only had 3 sides in, then they'd now be in, but because we have 4 it's not apparently going to happen.Agent TBY said:The FA have decided that they won't back Liverpool ahead of Everton, but they will back Liverpool to get an extra spot just because they are the champions.
Still hardly worth posting before you watch what actually happened.Scaly piscine said:The keeper should have saved the goal and I'd already pointed out that he'd scored after I said that.
So you're doubting Gerrard has been influential all season then.Scaly piscine said:One game, which showed exactly how influential Gerrard could be if he went forward like Lampard does - but most of the season he has not done that.
Relative to Lampard, which was the context used all along, he's not been as influential and that's even in a team that's not as good as Chelsea. You've completely missed the context that was used.marc71178 said:So you're doubting Gerrard has been influential all season then.
That figures.
Smicer is still a poor player, even poor players score occasionally.marc71178 said:Still hardly worth posting before you watch what actually happened.
aussie said:but will liverpool still be a part of the Champions League next season , they defiantely should be, they are the CHAMPIONS....
Gerrard defiantely is a inspirational leader, possibly more than Beckham will ever be but i dont think big sven even harbours the idea of replacing Beckham has Englands captain.Tim said:Surely Steven Gerrard should be Captain of England..he seems to be able to influence his players far more than Beckham does.
I can see Liverpool building up a decent side next season. They'll have Morientes available for Champions league (if they're allowed in) and they probably want to find another good central defender. They've definately got some class players in Gerrard, Xabi Alonso & Carragher though.
