Man Utd and Chelsea are currently in a kindergarten-like row over John Obi Mikel - "I had him first!" At one point it was rumoured that Sir Alex was coming to Norway to talk it through with Mikel, but Mikel got on the plane to London first, so Fergie decided not to bother. And there's about sixteen agents who claim the rights to a share of the deal.

And Malcolm G gets his way. Man Utd are now his club. Much as I'd love it, I can't see United crashing down anywhere.

Glazer's in it for profit and profit will only be attained by staying in the Premiership.

Still, never saw any United fans complaining when they became a PLC, or released sixteen different away shirts a year.

I love all the grand gestures of disapproval, like: "Nick Towle, chairman of fans' pressure group, Shareholders United, claimed he has ripped up his season ticket." Oh no, that means he can't go to see all the remaining home Premiership games like... err... well there aren't any left actually. And then there's those dozy banners like "MUFC for the love not the money" awwwww bless.

One question: How on earth can the English league be so bad when a fifth-placed team in it has reached the Champions' League final?
Na i dont buy it, the league is crap because there are 3 teams in it. Next season Liverpool or everton or Newcastle are not going to win the league. It will only be Chelsea, Arsenal and Man u in contention.

Then Everton this season are the team behind the top three. So when Arsenal beat them 7-0, it just goes to show how big of a gap there is from the top three teams and the rest.

Three teams and then a bunch of cannon fodder my friend, that is what you call poor

And equally, anyone but Valencia, Deportivo, Barcelona or Real Madrid will not win the Spanish league next year. Just because three teams are exceptionally good and dominate doesn't mean the league is of poor quality - just like good competition doesn't mean that the league is great.

nah the difference is, the gap between the top and the rest. Barcelona didnt walk throgh the season this year beating every team.

Arsenal came second this year, but they had the amount of points to be top in any other league

That's a fair point, though England's 37 games into the season, Spain and Italy 35.

I did laugh at the chairman of Shareholders United (who obviously doesn't think it's wrong that he has shares) - what a gesture that is, ripping up his season ticket.

I'd probably have more effect if the season weren't already over!

Didn't Everton beat Man Utd? And draw with Chelsea?

I've no idea why you're so infatuated with the idea that the English league is so inferior to the rest of Europe.

everton lost to shrewsbury, invalid theory completely, if you wanna go down that road we can prove that vauxhall motors are better than real madrid

but arsenal are cleary a better side than everton, had everton won 7-0 aresenal at full strength would be much the better team, i dont think anyone would be foolish enough to suggest otherwise.
