Just like this whole argument, this statement is the biggest load of rubbish I've ever read. Slater, Bevan and the Waugh brothers are both past it and would be very ineffective these days. That leaves Katich and Clarke who look very good players but are unproven in test cricket. Haddin has never played either so impossible to say he is better than Chris Read (who seems to be underrated here).
Then in the bowling department again McGrath and MacGill are both past it and nowhere near as effective as 3-4 years ago, Lee we have all been saying hasn't delivered at test level and I believe he conceded 83 runs in an ODI over the weekend, whilst Bracken again is unproven.
I don't think you have a leg to stand on.
i agree slats is passed it....bevan is not passed it, and is doing extermely well int he pura cup comp... mark waugh is not at his best, but is still pretty damn good... and Swaugh is DEFINATELY not passed it, i don't know where u got that from...geez,he retired a few weeks back, and made 80 odd in his last match...and he's in pretty damn good form
mcgrath and macgill passed it? wat are u on mate? watever it is, can i get some of ya? seems to be that stress relieveing drug that we've all been after...makes everything look positive
Macgill was the 2nd highest wicket taker last year...not passed it, just coz india belted him around the park...trust me, ur english players would NOT be able to do that to him with the exception of maybe vaughan.... It's soley coz the indian's play spin so well, not coz he is passed it
Mcgrath is injured,he'll b back soon, and i'm not even going 2 bother explaining how good he is,coz if u disagree with the fact that he's probably the best bowler in the world atm, ur wasting ur time PRETENDING to b a cricket fan, when u know absoultely jack all about it
