Gees, I'm a Dragons fan and I'm not so sure. The Tigers are in good form, but the Dragons form is really a mystery. Sure they have won 8 in a row, but they have only played twice in the last four weeks and just scraped home against the Knights and Sharks.

Im bored so i thought i'd go back through this thread to see some of the comments made over the season...

Broncoman said:
their halves are going tops, Jason Smith is on fire playing as well as ever and near the top of the dally M's and Lincoln Withers is playing a support role, but doign it brilliantly, they will feature in the last 4 come september...
Hmm Last 4.. :p :p Well i guess you were right in a way :p :p

Broncoman said:
Knights will improve, Buderus will come back and they will play 10 times better, they still wont make the 8 though, neither will saints and neither will roosters unless Firman is brought back into first grade...
Well Knights improved out of sight, Rosters missed the 8...

Blaze said:
Yeah they are the form side.. it's just 20 or so weeks too early.
On the Broncos early season form... How right he was...

Broncoman said:
my top 8 predictions at this stage are
1 Broncos
2 Cowboys
3 Storm
4 Sharks
5 Roosters
6 Panthers
7 Bulldogs
8 Manly
with Canberra just outside by a point or 2
a few notable ommissions there.. including 3 of the last 4...

Mister Wright said:
I'm not convinced the Bulldogs will make it into the 8. No Mason or O'Meley for most of the season, that's a lot of go forward they will be without. Not too convinced on the Roosters or the Panthers yet, although I think the Panthers have the best chance of those two to make it. Canberra are going to struggle without Schifcofske for the next month and a half, but if they can get 2 or 3 wins in that period they won't be in as bad of a position. Eels and Dragons will be big chances of making the 8.
Made a few good calls..

Agemaster said:
Waratah's will probably get Anasta cause they can afford him and they need a new number 10
Nope..

Mister Wright said:
Broncos have to be premiership favourites now. That was a great win against the Dogs.
Broncoman said:
we were premiership favs before today anyway...
Mister Wright said:
Well, we're even bigger premiership favourites now
Kyle and Simon, getting a bit ahead of themselves :p :p

the broncos always end up screwing up at the end of the season. so dont get over excited
hmmmm

Brett Finch must be the biggest ****** in rugby league. He's always throwing his toys out of the cot.
A Truer word never spoken...

Broncoman said:
warriors lost because they werent good enough, neither side will make the 8 on that showing, Hayne was ordinary, but not as poor as mander was in the sharks vs raiders game...
Bronco commenting on both Warriors and Roosters missing the 8... PERFECT!!!

More soon!!!

Haha good stuff Blewy. I always like reading people's predictions from the past now. Looking forward to more.

As for the Tigers, haven't caught a replay of the game yet (out last night and unable to watch it) and haven't heard what happened but know the final score. I was at a party and when we found out that the Tigers won there were huge cheers etc. I think we are all backing the Tigers in NZ cause of the Benji Marshall and other NZers connection.

You must be wrapped Blewy?

I know everyone goes on about the wests bandwaggon and since the Warriors were eliminated I jumped straight on, however, I have liked the Tigers for awhile. They have been my second team from about this game. I remember watching it and liking the way they were playing. And from that point on I have always followed them as my second side.. not with the same passion as I have for the Warriors but i certainly support them against every other side.

Well done Tigers. They were the much better team on the night. I'll guess us Dragons will just have to wait another 12 months

You being serious. That's a huge call, seeing as they have to overcome Parra and the Magpies to win it. Good luck to them though, I'm cheering for them now :p

 Sucked in Parra. If the Dragons were going to lose, at least Parra did as well. Go the Cowboys !!!!

At least now we will have a first time winner with the Cowboys or the Tigers and I can't wait for next Sunday.

I don't know but Tim Smith played today like he never played a game of footy before and was shocking. And I think the Dragons can win the award of most over-rated team in the NRL. Hyped up so much but are yet to deliever.
