If your husband wanted to play in the Ashes, and you guilted him into staying, then yea, he should divorce you.
Um, I gave birth and my husband wasn't there! He had to work!

So then whats the issue with the discussion?
That, I agree with the other guys who said that you're a tad bit ignorant on the issue.
But hey, I know that you want to see good cricket.

Then I should've divorced my husband?
Well I didn't die and I'm sure the Lees can afford the best doctor that Sydney has to offer.
Depends on a) did he have a choice? ie. would he have lost his job if he took the day off? and b) did you want to divorce him?

Because if the answer to either question is "no" then obviously not. But Lee has a choice, and what I was saying was that if his wife DOES want him there, then I think she'd be within her rights never to talk to him again. If he wants to play, and she doesn't care, no dramas.

Well, a)He owns a business so he wouldn't have lost his job. He had a very important meeting to seal a deal, I understood how much it would mean for his business.

b)Of course not, I let him attend the meeting.

Of course she would want him to be there, but they were caught between a rock and a hard place and had to come to a decision together.

If he wants to play, and she doesn't care, no dramas.
Well it seems that way doesn't it?

What are you on about?
You said it was no ones business but theirs, and we should not discuss it. I said we should because it affects us too. And then you said your husband had to work while you delivered a child (??).

It doesn't really affect you. It affects the team and Lee's wife.

Yes my husband had to work, so I have no problem if the decision is either way.
I can empathise with Mrs. Lee.

:) No. But I'm sure Liz will make time for him when he gets dropped or injured. Just a bit selfish IMO, but different strokes and all that...

Do you realise you more than tripled your post count in one evening after 18 months of membership? :)

Of course it does! He is a public figure, and his actions and appearences have an effect on people other than just himself.

I do have a problem if he misses an ashes test just to see a kid pop out, I mean...wait five days ffs....he doesn't even have to go out the country.

The kid won't be that different when he's five days old. Cleaner, but otherwise pretty much the same.

Well a woman would have to take all that into consideration before you decide to marry a man who's that committed to his job. I would know.

Yeah, I have nothing to do today.

Well he did say that he is playing the 1st test, so you don't have much to worry about.
