Muralitharan a burglar,a thief and a dacoit : Bedi

Of course his action may have changed - most actions do, little things creep in without the bowler noticing.
So why not investigate all actions every 2 or 3 years?
And I repeat the question - why investigate a different ball when almost every bowler has a different ball?

A bowler where there is suspicion over his action should be checked for every delivery IMO compared to a bowler where there is no suspicion.

It would certainly put a stop to the "his leg-break\top-spinner is illegal" brigade (well, as much as the original investigation put a stop to the "Murali is a chucker full-stop" brigade), but as we've ascertained, the only reason for Murali being suspected by anyone is optical-illusions in some camera-angles. If people had just listened to the doctors and taken proper notice, there wouldn't have been any suspicion in the first place.
It would be an unnecessary check, but one that would perhaps set a few minds to rest so would be worthwhile.

Well, they do need a decent spinner...:P
Yes, and instead they go for Murali Kartik.
It can surely be only because they know Pickup has not a drop of Indian blood in his body...

It'd be a mirror of Brett Lee's figures - except Lee somehow managed to fluke 4 wickets.:(

"Appears" being the key word.

Since he bowls it with his arm consistently at the straightest he can physically make it, I question how he can straighten the arm?
With respect Marc, you're not the definitive expert on either Murali's bowling action or his anatomical capabilities (that's Richard's job). How on earth can you be sure that his arm is "consistently at the straightest he can physically make it"?

Ask the doctors at the University of Western Australia.

I'd have no objections whatsoever to them looking at it, because I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that they'd find exactly the same thing they found with the off-break.
And it would make sense for them to look at it, just to reconfine all the doubts to every delivery, rather than this silly confination to the other deliveries.
Jeez (to use and Australianism), how many bowlers bowl other deliveries? Why should there be a problem with Murali's leg-break or straight-onner if there is no problem with his off-break? It just doesn't make sense.

The statement made for Murali has been that he has a natural defect and so should be allowed to play with it. Now if I have a natural defect and that means I can zip a bowl with a twist will that mean I will be allowed to play test cricket?

If some one has 3 legs and can run faster, doesnt mean he will be allowed to run in the olympics.
