based on what you say i would doubt you have ever seen the Aussie team play...
No surprises there. 8-) Because I form my own ideas instead of taking as gospel what everyone else takes as gospel...

thanks for posting that article mate, i was just about to mention it, especially the part about Ponting's little problems when he came into the australian side
Ponting's problems which were more off-field than on-field.
And any on-field problems were assauged by an excellent First-Class average.

You even form them without watching the players 8-)

Yep, because believe it or not it's not possible to watch every player who plays.
But it is possible to generalise about them and tell someone else you know more about the player, even if they have watched them.

yes you form your own ideas but than you force them onto everyone else as if you are the only one that can be right.

It's possible to know that there are certain rules with barely an exception, yes.

Believe it or not I wouldn't think what I thought unless I thought it was right.

No, not everyone or anything close.
then by all means go ahead and find me 10 other people who are of a sensible orientation that agree with you on one of the current cricket chat discussions ( ones that are currently popular) who agree with you.

yeah thats fine, doesn't mean you have to force your opinions on everyone else, and be stubborn enough not to accept that other people might have different opinions

it does seem that richard just likes too argue and be different and provides nothing useful all he seems to come up with is the ocasioanl misleading and pointless fact

Find me where I've said people shouldn't have different opinions? I've tried to correct them if I see it as possible, but I've hardly ever said "you're stupid to think that" or similar.

lets put emphasis on the word hardly shall we.... i think you might want to re-think what you consider to be ahem " trying to correct people"

Try these...
SJS, Dave Lewis, Tom Halsey, Sudeep, Sangrah, Neil Pickup (yes, really - he does agree with me on some things), Eclipse, Corey, Liam, Rich Tywman, Rich Lang... that's 11 and I could name a whole stack more, but there's no point - you should have got the picture.

Why? What'd be the point in that?
And yes, I've called people stupid at times - if they've said, for instance, that Hayden scored a century in England in 2001.
Or if they've stated that something that is factually correct is not the case.
Otherwise, I haven't.
