Harmison bowled 154.5 today, that's faster than Bond has ever bowled in according to my records there's only Lee and Shoaib who have bowled faster, do you still want to say he is not in their league?

Get over it he is NOT a fast bowler.

Gillespie is alot faster than Zaheer and he is only borderline Fast.
Ha like these classifications matter. They are BULLSHIT. Zaheer is NOT a fast bowler, i know too, but Gillespie is not a lot faster than him, Simon Jones is not a lot faster than him, and they are Fast. And for your info Zaheer is up there wrt pace, when fit he's consistently around 88-89 mph(143 kph) and exceeds 90(145) regularly, no bunny pace that, clearly you don't watch him much so better not to comment.

According to my sources(cricinfo) Waqar was timed at 153 and Sami 148.5, Nantie Hayward has bowled at 154.4 and Gillespie at 153.9.
Hell no Sami has been timed 157 recently, and earlier 156. You can't say for sure just how fast Waqar could've bowled.

Do you know that even Andre Nel and Andy Blignaut have hit 154 kph? Are they in Shoaib league then? Did you know Srinath has bowled even faster than that, and is 'only' fast medium? Zaheer Khan also consistently hits 148-149 tops when hes fit and has also bowled over 150....is he in Shoaib league? Do you kow that Lee and Shoaib have bowled over 160 and 150+ is their average ball speed? Is Harmo in this league?

The fastest I have seen Zaheer bowl was during the world cup where I may be wrong but he came very close to 150. (altitude has to be taken into account here as well)

Other than for a short period of his carear he has always bowled between 130-140 khp.

As i say from my source Srinath has 149.6 as his top, although the figures are slightly out of date, Srinath's pace was on the decline since then.

Harmison's average spell was 92mph over 7 overs, i'd like to see anyone other than Shoaib or Lee(Possibly Sami) bowl that average over 7 overs..

I've never seen Khan bowl that fast and i have no evidence to the contrary so i'll reserve judgement- when did he top 150?

Nel and Blignaut?

You're right, he was high up in the pace there as well.....When Zaheer made his debut in 2000, it was clear then itself that he's something special for India because over there he was consistently bowling 90 mph and had a superb yorker and an aggressive attitude. He has always bowled at this sorta pace, only recent injuries have brought him down to 130 kph he has been bowling recently.

Possibly Sami? And surely Bond is quick enough for that, Heck Nehra bowled at 92 mph in the WC over 4-5 overs. Edwards is quick enough to match that. Abot Srinath, read this - http://plus.cricinfo.com/link_to_database/ARCHIVE/CRICKET_NEWS/2002/AUG/042870_CI_07AUG2002.html Those speeds are not updated at all, it doesn't even include Akhtar's 100 mph in the WC

Yep. Both against the WI. Nel when he was on that slang match with Lara, and Blignaut when he bowled that fast spell when WI were in danger of losing the test.

I think almost every bowler in the World Cup seemed to u their pace by 10-15 kph!

The WC, you mean where EVERY single bowler was timed at a lot quicker than they were before and after the competition - do you think they're true readings or a freak of the conditions?

Yeah surely it's the conditions or the ball, or the guns were tampered with, anything, it's impossible that Indian bowlers would figure among the top in the pace stakes. Just how much advantage did the conditions give? 10 kph?! And who bowled faster than everyone thought possible other than the Indian bowlers, Shoaib? Lee? Bond? Ntini? Gillespie? They were all alright, but no it's impossible for military medium Indians to bowl that fast, something dodgy here!

I saw Greg Blewett clocked at 144.9 kph once so I dont 100% trust the speed guns everywhere.

For a start It's a fact that the ball does travle faster at higher altitude and if you actualy have a good look Indian bowlers were by no means the only one's bowling personal best speeds.

heck I even saw Oram and Andre Adam's in the 140s.

Look, there were Indian's who started calling Nehra the fastest legal bowler in the world and **** like that after the WC. Don't take me for one of them, Zaheer has always been a bowler of that pace, his pace was always talked about in domestic circles, and he's almost always averaged over 140 in International cricket.

Oram never bowled in the 140s. Adams however has.

So Eclipse Brett Lee never hit 160 then? If the speeds there were 10-15 kph excess like Marc says then that ball was under 150! Looked a lot faster than that don't you think?
