Cricketer Of The Year
Maybe the joke was too obvious.

Agree, it's a bit ridiculous they can't work this out especially as they did so for Strauss , I know he never came out and said he wasn't available to play Twenty20's but it was pretty much a given.Well seems fairly ridiculous that he can't play Twenty20, have no problem with his decison actually, always gets a lot of **** because of who he is.
Is it 2013 and 2013/14? Or 2013 and 2014/15?Bet he retires from tests after the ashes double header.

Next summer and then following on in the winter. His last test will be the new year Sydney one in 2014 i reckon. Is it 2013 and 2013/14? Or 2013 and 2014/15?
He'll only be 34 then won't he, I would be surprised and I wouldn't be if you know what I mean.Next summer and then following on in the winter. His last test will be the new year Sydney one in 2014 i reckon.
David Hopps:
Kevin Pietersen did return in time for England's first Test against West Indies but if his Twitter account was a true reflection, his thoughts were often elsewhere. Playing for Surrey in a championship match at Worcester ahead of the first Test, he got out as Surrey successfully fought to save the game, and tweeted not about the sterling efforts of his county colleagues in the match he was playing in, but excitedly about Delhi Daredevils' next match. Get used to it, is Pietersen's response.

I thought this too...Bet he retires from tests after the ashes double header.
Yeah, I can see that. Especially as he's quite openly viewing Chris Gayle as a role model.Next summer and then following on in the winter. His last test will be the new year Sydney one in 2014 i reckon.
lol I know he's friends with Gayle, role model nah.Yeah, I can see that. Especially as he's quite openly viewing Chris Gayle as a role model.
I'm OK about that actually.
I don't know, he's obviously been poor in 50 overs stuff for a couple of years but I reckon he's equally as good across all the formats, especially Tests & T20, the signs were though that he'd rediscovered his 50 over batting as well, which makes this all the more frustrating. For me he's a much better Test Match batsman than a one day batsman (T20 and 50 overs).
I really would be surprised if he went after the Ashes down under. As Atherton just said, Test Cricket is still the pinnacle, it's how you prove yourself as a cricketer.
