Intercontinental Cup, 2007

It is not like the ICC are short of $$. They just lack the sense to know how to distribute it properly.

They have committed to this tournament so should stop :censored:ing around and get on with it. the following is a quote from their FAQ section on the event:

"How is the tournament funded?

The tournament is part of the ICC Development Program and is funded centrally by the ICC."

They should list Intercontinental cup on the FTP considering all the 'Its the ICC's premier FC competition' garb they keep throwing every single time its mentioned. That would help with the long term planning:yes:

Yep - last time they sent me a press release on that I asked about the planning and was told 'they are in consultation with the respective boards'. For crying out loud, they have only had a year to get it organised.

Very good showing from Namibia, they've been impressive lately. Once they get more First Class experience under their belt thanks to the SAA Provincial Competition they will be a stronger team, no doubt about that.

Namibia ought to wrap this up shortly after (or even before) lunch tomorrow, despite more stout resistance from Mohammad Iqbal. Excellent showing from a batsman who'd only made 288 runs in 17 matches before this.

Haha. That made me dig. He actually got out to a 20-year-old Inzamam.

Namibia have some decent talent coming through. It should be interesting to see how go against the big boys when they play Holland, Scotland, Ireland and Kenya. They seem to have always fallen away when they played sides with similar depth to them, but just a bit more talent.

Well done Namibia!

Still a bit concerned about their batting, it's a bit hit-and-hope still with the occasional massive knock which saves them.

Bad news for Kenya before today's match - Obanda is ruled out with his injury still not healed.
A big blow, especially with Mishra also absent. This means Suji will probably bat at 3 again :@

Hopefully Luseno will get a run after his 4 for the other day - it would be good to see his pace put to use.

The News article in the EA standard clams that a certain James Otieno from the U'19 squad has been drafted into the squad as cover for the batting but after the 'Elijah Luseno' gaffes of the past week i won't believe it just as yet

Rain and dropped catches! Kenya should have been 5 wickets into the Bermudan innings by the rain interval had catches been held and a bit of luck with an lbw shout gone the right way. The lbw situation is swings and roundabouts but the catches are a must at this level and Hemp is now capitalising on his escape.

Bermuda starting to up the scoring rate as Hemp gets his fifty and another chance put down:no:

I can't believe that Romaine was allowed to get to 42 before facing anything other than spin.
And another catch put down. Not a good day in the field for Kenya so far.
