Well even I think Pathan should be picked at this point and I've been talking down his chances for ages so it's looking good for him.

He has perhaps been a tad better in recent times and has some promise of speed, though not one he has delivered on at international level.

I think i read someone saying somewhere that he was fitter than ever.
Had got his swing back in the IPL, and from whatever little highlights i saw of one match and the wickets from another he is certainly swinging the ball back late into the right handers again. And the amount of swing he was getting in Indian conditions to get people bowled and LBW in Indian conditions is very good.
No idea at what pace he was bowling at though.

He may have a good chance as a limited-overs specialist, for now. He's chipping wickets away well, leading the tally, but runs are few and far between- but then, you now have Ashwin. With Praveen Kumar injured again, and no real pace beyond Ishant, Umesh and Aaron, he's in with a chance.
He'd be better off finishing the whole domestic season, so loads of wickets and runs will do him a lot of good, as also playing a lot of active cricket.
Iqbal Abdulla. Well, good for limited-overs cricket with his economy, as also his batting.
What are your thoughts on Piyush Chawla? Not too many five-fors (just one), but fifteen wickets in four games, and also three fifties.

Zaheer has taken so far 3 wickets(including Pujara) against Saurashtra, pitch seems to be really flat.
