Sadly they have given the vice captaincy to Gill, even in T20s where he wasn't supposed to be a certain starter. But now he is as he's been elevated to vc.

To make matters worse they have dropped the only Indian batter (Abhishek) who could bat at ridiculous strike rates like Head or Mcgurk. Considering that the next t20 world cup is in India itself, it makes Abhishek's omission even more ludicrous. You need a player like him playing in India and not another accumulator like Gill.

It's a really bad call by the selectors and Gambhir. Let's not forget that Abhishek can bowl too unlike Gill. And Abhishek is not just limited to the opening position as he used to bat lower down the order. So Riyan Parag getting picked ahead of him doesn't make sense either. Likewise Jaiswal's exclusion from ODIs is also baffling considering he is your go to player in both tests and t20s.. why can't he play odis? Selectors have made some baffling calls and I am not even touching on what they have done with Pandya yet.

Not sure what to make of the fact that a lot of the good knocks have been aggressive hitting in the Duleep Trophy so far across both games.

Sarfraz and Pant batting together is fun tho so no complaints
