And when was that? may i remind you that even Bothom destroyed Australia on couple of occasions, so if you want to talk about way back series then start a new thread for it!
2 tours ago - last time he took 21 in 5 matches - a record of 41 wickets in 8 tests in Australia - now I don't know about you, but I think that's a pretty impressive record and I'd like to know if anyone other current player approaches that number of wickets at that rate per game.
Yeah but you are talking about games that took place in '98!

Harbhajan has played test series away from home against just 4 countries in Zimb,SL, WI and Eng.And he doesn't have a bad rec against Zimb and WI.To claim that he cannot perform away from home when the guy simply haven't played much away series is absurd!

Agreed! India is unliky to win any of the test matches in Australia as Australia right now is too strong, but India can put up a better display (as they know test matches are about 5 days, and one is not suppose to just perform for a single day:lol::lol::lol:).Also England's present record of 11 defeat out of 11 will be hard to match!:frog::frog:

Oh so which team among them was really strong to impress you?? Harbhajan picked 12 wickets in 3 test matches in England, including a 5 wicket haul in one of the games, not that bad really!

I said he wasn't that bad, and not that he was great in that series!
I firmly believe that Harbhajan will become a real match winning bowler in a year time, he has all the talent to become one of the games great

How many series' do India play in India in the next year? That would determine whether he becomes a matchwinning bowler or not :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Hey, he isn't that bad and he is still very young. He can still improve and become a better bowler abroad. He is already a proven match-winner at home.

I think that was totally unnecessary. He is already a tuff guy to handle at home, oit won't take long when he will start delivering abroad too.The county cricket will be a very useful experiance for him!

Well guys, i think Bangladesh and Zimb can match England's unique record;).
Erm, how many times do we have to point out the England's recent record is not that bad - 6 defeats in 26 if you remove the Australians (who are beating everyone)

Looking at India's upcoming schedule, I reckon it will be a long time.

After NZ, there's 12 months till a tour of Aus (assuming that they don't tour Pak), then its Ban in April 04, Zim in Oct 05 (again ignoring Pak), Windies in May 06 and SA in Dec 06.

That's not a lot of away tours actually is it, and there's at least 18 months till he'll get a chance for wickets IMO.

Atleast against India their record is not all that impressive(1 series loss and 1 drawn series)
Losing to Australian test team is one thing, but losing to every oponents in Australia is something very diffrent!

And who...other than India and Australia...have England lost to lately? And remembering the loss was against India in India which is a big ask due to the change in conditions.

About as unnecessary as you claiming England is an appauling team when they have lost one Series in the last 3 years other than against Australia and one against India at home which is a difficult tour with totally different conditions. If your gonna bash England then look further than their record on the Australia Tour...

If I'm right in thinking it's about the 4 teams for the Semi Final, but a lot of people seem to think it's another chance to slag England off...hang on...I'm off to make a SLAG OFF ENGLAND Thread...:baddevil:
