I have no problem with critisism if there is reason but quite often we end up having big England slagoffathons and quite strangely they are all from Indian Supporters.
Interestingly the English fans have been mocking the Indian team since a long time. Some have come up with wierd kind of senseless joke about Indian bowlers , so in all fairness its someone's else turn to face the heat, especially when English team is doing so well!

They have?? I wonder then why Glen and Warne was so harsh on SA then? they criticise Afrikans on being mentally weak and giving up the match before it had already started!
Don't worry, they do it before every series. It gets quite boring after a while as they just keep saying the same stuff.
No thats not correct, other teams have played better against Aus than the way SA played against Aussies.SA simply were never in the game, even SA's ex cricketers had criticised the players for their spinelss display
The only team to fare decently in Australia recently has been NZ. All other teams have been thrashed.

.
WRONG! I was talking about SA's home series, the criticism took place when SA were getting hammered at their own home ground. There are teams that have done well against Aus on their own backyard!!

I would hardly think the Indian Team would do any better. Anyway...Indian Bowlers? What Indian Bowlers?

I don't blame you, i mean the way English team have been annihilated by the Aussies both in England and in Australia, Englishmen cannot possibly think that anyone can give Aus a fight. But unlike England India have players that can play competitive cricket and aren't as fragile as the pale Englishmen.

As for bowlers, well it was Harbhajan that mesmerized Aus in India. Can you name a single English bowler that came up with a respectable figues against Australia ?(whether playing at home or away series)

It was India at home on turning tracks. And Harbajan has not really done much lately has he? Now come on, if you say anything like "the pale Englishmen" then I will report you to the Mod. It sounds like a racist comment to me. I'm English and actually I'm quite dark skinned...so am I pale? Anyway Gough has a hat-trick against Australia...if that's not good then I don't know what is.

Huh who is referring to the skin color? afterall the series(ashes) is being played b/w two white teams! By pale i meant dull, got it?

Harbhajan had 19 wkts in the last series(a 3 test series) Not good lately??

What has Gough done LATELY?? besides i was talking about a bowling performing well throughout a series and not just in one off match or so!

Actually Goughie did something very similar to Harbhajan. With just 4 test matches worth of experience he went to Australia and took 20 wickets at 21 in 3 test matches. His SR was 45.8. And this was IN Australia.

I just checked out Harbhajan's stats and he has only taken wickets in India, West Indies and Zmibabwe. He averages nearly 37 away from home. Take away THAT series, and he averages a fraction under 30, which is good, but not great.

The thing people fail to grasp here is that the conditions in England are much more similar to the ones in Australia, BUT the conditions in India are completely alien to them.

I agree, we'd annihilate Australia if we played them in India.

Well, maybe not, but I can dream....:D

And when was that? may i remind you that even Bothom destroyed Australia on couple of occasions, so if you want to talk about way back series then start a new thread for it!

Averaging 37 against the West Indies and Zimbabwe, England and Sri Lanka? That makes it even worse!

How would you get him there...he refused to go last time and was dropped...something which I'd been waiting to happen for ages but more on performances than refusing to tour.

2 tours ago - last time he took 21 in 5 matches - a record of 41 wickets in 8 tests in Australia - now I don't know about you, but I think that's a pretty impressive record and I'd like to know if anyone other current player approaches that number of wickets at that rate per game.

Harbhajan is a bowler who performs at home. He is not the quality to be a great bowler. If you want to talk of great spinners of our generation, talk of Murali and Warne because they don't only perform well at home.
