If you got that email then you should have noticed that a dealine was in the enail.
My eyes must have passed it certainly.. or my memory is equally poor.. but i hadnt been given any reminder until this moment when Nibbs told me that this was up.. i know i probably shouldnt need a reminder.. then again if i did miss it even though it is in the email ( yes i saw it now ) i didnt have any other reason to come back to this thread because i understood the finance information already...

dont they teach reading in kiwi schools anymore? or they never did to begin with...

That's in poor taste. Just out of interest, I'll have you know that they carried out a survey to test the geographical knowledge of Aussie and Kiwi teenagers. More Kiwi teenagers knew where Aussie was on a world map than Aussie teenagers did, so I wouldn't cast any insults about Kiwi intelligence if I was in your shoes!

To be honest nibbs the reason I got away with posting so late in the playoffs was because I didn't I had just got a new computer and didn't have any internet...

So it was impossible to post until I got it...

Usually I'm with you buddy, but I reckon you shoulda tried a little harder and asked me about it on MSN and I woulda told u instead of kicking up a fuss.

I have received it Lord, but too late I'm afraid - the original message clearly stated that I needed a reply.

As for all of the complaints from a certain Warwickshire manager, the fact he's suddenly found the address suggests he was talking rubbish about not having read the email in the first place.
marc, if you could reply to my other comment...i would really appreciate that

I received my e-mail on the 14th. It said I had a fortnight. Today is the 28th and I'm being told the deadline has passed? Wtf?

Nibbs this is just a **** poor effort...

You have NO excuse and stop trying to shift the blame... If you spent half the time on your finance rather then creating repetitive threads in OT then you would have had the info sent back on the same day it was sent out...

Im sick of excuses, and NO Hotmail is not an excuse... Myself and Simon have stressed many a time on how unreliable hotmail is and to change it to something else...

How would you like it if i decided to put in no effort at all??
People do all this work and you cant send i quick email....

SWITCH ON FOR A CHANGE!!!!

What other comment?

You've known the rules on finance, and your excuses have been exposed as a sham by the whole way you suddenly found the address tonight.

Random numbers for all who didn't reply and it is up to Blewy as to how far he takes it.

Why do you wait till after the clear deadline to ask this?

What clear deadline? The 'clear' deadline hasn't passed. The 'clear' interpretation of "two weeks from the 14th" would suggest that the 28th would be the last day.

This thread has mentioned a deadline for much more than a week, how much clearer does it have to be?

For the past few days, a list of those still to reply with many warnings has been posted.

Nobody has any excuse.

I've gone back and re-read the initial post in this thread, and it makes no mention of a deadline. If you were going to reclarify the deadline, you should have sent out an e-mail. I received an e-mail on the 14th telling me I had 2 weeks in which to do it, and that I should read this thread for information, and that is what I did. I'm sorry that I'm a little too busy to check this thread everyday to see in which you are manipulating the calendar.

Absolute ********. Nobody is obliged to read the entirety of every thread. If you really want to make an important announcement it should be e-mailed, not derived from the midst of an 11 page thread. I got the necessary information from the e-mail, I did what the e-mail said, and if you want to make a change then you should be informing me, or at least telling me where to look.

A small point, but the email said "within a fortnight" (which in your case incidentally ran out about 5 hours ago - which is before anything you've tried to say.

Also the fact you were urged to read the thread suggests that you should read the thread.

Blewy, obivously I'm not going to change your mind with any of this, so just tell me one thing which no one has been able to give me answer for. When Cloete missed a 3rd submission with Tamil Nadu he should have been sacked. But when people came to his aide and said he shouldn't be, he was let off and allowed to continue managing them. He knew the deadlines and what not, but the rules for bent for him...he had been playing WCC for a year maybe. Is my case difference? You never told him **** poor effort or anything like that.

Blewy, I love WCC heaps, but the way deadlines are treated is some what confusing. People are let off in some cases and not in others. It's frustrating, whether or not they have valid excuses should matter...or should it?

If you could answer these questions, and give a good reason I will accept it, and move on...

That is all

For a start, you were advised to read the thread - if you choose not to that is your decision, but you cannot then complain if something that is in the thread that you didn't read comes into play.

Secondly, the whole idea of WCC is that people use the website/forum to play - the only thing that was emailed was the finance info because that is confidential and specific to each team. By that, anything that happens is quite within our rights to be posted on the forum/website, and we're not obliged to put it anywhere else.

Which is why you chose not to respond to the email until too late and then kick up a fuss when you're (quite rightly) penalised for it.

You're being ridiculous Marc. No-one is going to read every post in every thread of the forum. If the management want to make an announcement, they should make a bit more of an effort than that. To say "you have a fortnight" and then not clarify the exact deadline until days later, in the middle of the thread, is poor form. If I didn't know any better I would swear you were trying to get people in trouble.

We all know Nibbs that you take WCC very seriously, and to be honest I think I speak for most managers on here, love or hate you, it's best that you stick around on here. I have no doubt if it came to the board wanting to kick you out most WCC managers would stand up and defend you. On all three of Cloete's occasions when he failed to submit the rules weren't bent, he didn't get to submit the side he wanted to and one was chosen. The only time that the rules changed was when it came to kicking him out. As I said, most managers, including myself, would come to your aid if it came to that.

But in saying that mate, Blewy hasn't threatened to kick you out he has just said how dissapointed he was, that's it. And Nibbs it is understandable. A lot of time and effort has gone into WCC over the recent months, and forgetting personal prejudices mate, Marc has done a superb effort. The only way that this is going to work is if we all put in... I'm afraid mate you didn't.
