i'm sort of talking tests but not really tbh. more batting as an irreducible art/skill. more the pseudo-unquantifiables like experience, ability to soak up pressure, adaptability, ability to read the game situation and adjust, ability to rotate the strike - those sorts of things. kind of like that presence/aura burgey mentioned a while back. kane has it, smith has it, but clarke has done it for ten years (with breaks). given where he bats and his role in the side, those are all far more important than his ability to hit sixes.In limited overs cricket I disagree, if we were talking tests than yeah sure. Kane Williamson is the best batsmen from both sides IMO.
