Im not sure whether Schumi will take the offer and go to champs of Renault, I guess if he does he would just be teaming up with the best team atm.

I read that too.
Thing is though is surely he's past his best? I don't think the qualifying changes suit him that much too and surely last season showed us that the Ferrari era of dominance is over (thank God)?

Yep, the ferrari era of dominance was the reason i stopped watching F1, after alonso won last year. I started watching again.

Alonso and Raikkonen are better than him now, there is nothing much more for him to do and i think he will retire at the end of the season (i hope, ive been sick of him for years)

If he does want to carry on though i think Renault would be the best place for him, if Kimi goes to Ferrari he would comortably outpace him and Shui wouldnt like that.

I've thought he's an idiot since 1994 when he took Damon Hill(the most underrated driver of the modern era) off the track in order to win the championship...

After a three week break - the F1 Season hits Imola...
Schumacher, M on pole with Button on the front row
Ferraris + Hondas supposedly running light, McLarens are apparently heavier on fuel...
Bodes for a good race....I won't see it as i'll be back at uni (no tv :()....
Results will probably be a tad delayed as well as i have to move a room's worth of stuff from home to uni and will depend entirely on when i get my PC running and parents leave.

Points wise - Nikhil + Hoggy have gained 5 points from the pole....which incidentally breaks the all time pole setting record(65 poles) that Ayrton Senna had.

FORZA FERRARI!!!

Eat your toenails, all u Unbelievers!!! Michael still is the king of F1 and he WILL take his throne back!

I have heard enough anti-Schumi comments out here and it was about time Schumi showed why he is the 7,yes, S E V E N time champion..

Though Ferrari are still nowhere near their peak, they got their pride back at home!!! Good to hear the Italian National anthem again!!!

Wow,Liverpool beat Chelsea yesterday, Michael wins today, tomorrow is my seminar and I am bound to present my subject well tomorrow...

With Iron Maiden singing Trooper on my Comp right now, life cant get any better,it doesn't even matter if I came out too arrogant in this post

Because he had a team that was 100% behind him which ignored it's other driver...a team which then became the best team for awhile...He won the 1994 championship by taking out his contender as he was about to lose it...how well did he do in 1996 or 1997? and then what about when McLaren were the best team? If he was really as good as people said he'd surely have produced better results and won then too?

As for the Fantasy F1 - I just updated all the points for Imola on a file that didn't include the last race...so obviously i messed up there - but also the official results and reasons for retirement aren't out yet.

I respect that...not your post but the thing that you may support some other teams or players but that does not take away the pride that we Ferrari fans have...Today is one of the happiest days for me and you may have done well to respect that...

1996 - Ferrari had a loads of problems, constantly crashed out or had blown engines.
1997 - Lost Championship in the Last round to Villeneuve...as a Schumi fan I will always be of the opinion that it was Jacques' fault as much as it was Schumi's.Schumi was just two points behind.
1998 - Lost to Mika in the closing rounds due to some engine failures and tyre burst-outs
(Not an excuse, credit goes to Mika)
1999 - Ahead in Championship points when he broke his leg in Silverstone, then returned in the closing stages of the season...played second fiddle to Irvine,Irvine narrowly lost the championship but Schumi helped Ferrari win Constructors' after many years
2000 - Fought a great battle with Mika again to win
2001 - Mika and DC could not match Schumi's pace
2002,2003,2004 - Nobody could match Schumi's pace...and though it was Ferrari domination,Schumi always managed to beat Barrichello comfortably in qualifyings and races...the Austrian race where RB let Schumi go ahead didn't even matter pointswise...also Schumi returned the favour in Indianapolis...

I can only laugh at people who hate Michael just because he won so many races comfortably... Besides he is a team-man and Ferrari plays a team game and whats wrong if a driver is contracted to play the second fiddle...(but it was never instrumental in any of Schumi's championship wins)

As for 1994,mistakes can happen...(Yes DH was a great driver,he did win 1996 didn't he?),also nothing was wrong with Schumi winning the 1995 championship...

Why the hell am I advocating for MS anyway? His performance speaks for itself, not a record left to be broken...May he never retire...NEVER

!!

My main point is...he's always been in the top car (give or take the odd year)...surely it would be more worthwhile to join a lower team and prove he's the best?
Damon Hill - won in 1996, got ousted out in one of the worst moves in F1 morally....then 1997 he nearly won in an Arrows....even overtook Schumacher's Ferrari in an Arrows...then went on to Jordan and gave them their first ever win.
For me Damon gets more respect for performing (until his last season where he was poor) well at lower end teams.
