I am hoping that Button can get his first win tomorow but he usualy doesnt start well and i think atleast one of the renautls will be past him after the first corner. So i think il go with the great Alonso for his second win of the season and already getting a very handy lead in the championship

Well - after this Race we have a new Leader! A lot of shuffling of places going on in the higher middle order, the biggest fall being two places, so no drastic movements. Lots of drivers didn't finish the race so quite a few teams suffered....no chosen C group drivers actually finished this race for instance. Next race i believe is in three weeks in San Marino

Hmm, how do you classify Button for that race
On one hand, clear engine failure, didnt cross the line.
But the official result is that he finished in 9th, as the race was technically over when he blew up, and although down to 9th could overtake him, 10th place's race had finished, with less distance run than button, so in theory button had done enough to complete the race at that start of the lap.

Scrap that, figured out you've given him the finish. Rightly so.
But i'm noticing points that i personally think are wrong. Put up your email address and i'll send you the excel file i'm using to keep track. It's pretty accurate

Button should be classed as completing the race, as far as my understanding of the rules go if you complete 90% of the distace that the winner does you are then classified by average speeds for the total grand prix, its kinda the same as a One Day cricket match where you get bowled out in 45 overs for 200 your run rate is 4.44, but it then gets averages out to 50 overs, so your run rate is actually 4, if that makes any sense...

Turns out that Scott Speed received a penalty for ignoring yellow flags...Which allows the Ferrari powered Red Bull car of David Coulthard to pick up some points. Also Kimi Raikkonen set the fastest lap - not Alonso. Has quite an effect on the table too...

Steds (sorry mate, your gonna hate me for this!) should have 73.5 not 83.5, Given 15 points for Cosworth engine instead of 5 (Williams scored 10 points for them in week one, but they lost 5 week 2 thanks to Nico's blow up)
Hoggy31 should be on 72.5 not 71.5, doesnt look like he's got Couthards point from Oz

Just Thought i'd add - Max points would be 139, for having Alonso, Button, Schumacher, Albers (or Speed), McLaren, Ferrari and Michelin...... So Jamie has pretty much got it spot on bar the C driver (which lets face it, you'd expect Klien to do well, just a few retirements hit him). Gotta say i'm impressed!
