They weren't dismal...they were incapable of winning the championship but they still won at least one race a season making them better than Honda are now for example. Ferrari also aquired the Brawn/Bryne combination in 1996 which made Schumi win loads at Benetton. Plus Ferrari have made no secret of the fact that they always put more effort into Schumi's care than the other driver's car.
Exam over...back to the forums...Alonso is not letting go is he? Damn.

Anyway Ferrari's policy of favouring one driver over the other has worked well for them...but pardon me if I am wrong and I know I am not...Ferrari has never put in any less effort in the other car, there were just team orders to move over to let Schumi through because they all knew Schumi had a better chance at winning the championship and Schumi din need that previlage in 99% of the races..plus Ferrari always selected a low profile driver to help them secure the constructor's...
Remeber Eddie Irvine?Mostly qualified in the 3rd or 4th row in qualifyings til 98...he was not that great anyway, even in 1999 due to Schumi's broken leg and Mika's Mclaren giving him troubles he came second in the championship...and who let Irvine through to win when Schumi was ahead in one of the races that season?

Its just natural human tendency to tear apart Schumi and find faults in him just because he is achieved that status...wait till the same thing happens to Alonso if he does achieve that level...same thing would happen about detractors & Senna but he expired...so no trash talk about him plz...

I just wanted to point out that the car performance largely depends on the correct feedback from the driver...atleast I should know this much as I am doing Mechanical Engineering...

Back to the last race...guess Schumi is losing his grip on the title race...but who is losing hopes? No one.

Ferrari have decided in the past ,like all other teams do, to give the updated Wings and things to just Schumi.

Personally i've been slagging him off since his taking out of Hill in 94, before he even reached anywhere near his superstar status.

Sorry for the delay - been frolicking in Leeds and whatnot :)
After Canda:

1 (3) - Matteh F1 - 383
2 (2) - Pothas F1 - 381.5
3 (1) - Jamee's Speedy Foxes - 380.5
4 (4) - Nik Of Time - 361
5 (5) - Brown Stripe Racing - 343
6 (6) - Shaka's F1 - 318
7 (7) Trivial Pursuits - 313
8 (8) - Thompson Racing - 303
9 (9) - Vikings - 294.5
10 (10) - Saville Racing - 284
11 (11) - PSV Eindhoven - 277
12 (12) - Late Comer - 262.5
13 (14) - Maggot Dogs - 244
14 (13) - Hazza's Hounds - 239.5
15 (15=) - The 4 Musketeers - 217.5
16 (15=) - Stereolab - 204.5

Not much change in positions, however the noticeable one is the fall of Jamee after weeks at the top. The other change is that Steds has finally been overtaken by Pinchy, whose team missed the first two races...

Turns out there was a race whilst i was abroad 8-)

1 (1) - Matteh F1 - 415.5
2 (3) - Jamee's Speedy Foxes - 410
3 (2) - Pothas F1 - 408.5
4 (4) - Nik Of Time - 406.5
5 (5) - Brown Stripe Racing - 379.5
6 (8) - Thompson Racing - 335.5
7 (6) - Shaka's F1 - 333
8 (7) Trivial Pursuits - 332
9 (9) - Vikings - 327
10 (11) - PSV Eindhoven - 303
11 (10) - Saville Racing - 302
12 (12) - Late Comer - 291
13 (13) - Maggot Dogs - 280.5
14 (14) - Hazza's Hounds - 252.5
15 (15=) - The 4 Musketeers - 246
16 (16) - Stereolab - 216.5

Jamee's changes move him up a place - Nikil shoots up from nowhere because of M Schumacher's sweep of pole, fastest lap and win. Some close battles in the mid table. Overall generally a low scoring round because of the amount of retirements.

15 (15) - The 4 Musketeers - 280
16 (16) - Stereolab - 238.5

A few changes - most important is Nikhil who has shot up the table because of Schumi's refound form to become the joint leader. Some close battles behind the top 4 include 6th/7th, 8th/9th and 11th/12th who are all separately by only a point or two in their battles.

Noted - You should keep Michelin tbh seeing how they've got 110 points to Bridgestone's 90.

Noted - Pretty similar. You've got the Renault + Mercedes combination the opposite way to him.

Well Done Jenson :D About time he won, and he did it in style.

Schumacher showed how much of an idiot he is again, by generally being a complete prat and turning in on De La Rosa and Heidfeld once they were through...and by cutting the chicane once he went off the track because De La Rosa had the line and staying ahead of DLR. Add that to the 2 second Quali penalty. Not a good weekend...

I'll do the points in a bit when the final results + retirement reasons come up on the F1 site.
