196/2 off 31 at last check.

Australia's second greatest allrounder (after Border) is on 74 not out...
Well we (Kent) won by 8 wickets and Symo finished 93* from about 85 balls, and he slowed down from about 60!

For me, the highlight was when they forgot to put 50 pence in the meter and one of the banks of lights went out.

The electricians were looking at the spare generator and shaking their heads despondently.

Charles Colville (or whoever it was) said "It reminds me of the day my washing machine packed up at home. The repair man came round and shook his head too - just like those guys. It usually means EXPENSIVE"

I was crying with laughter. A shame the duck's on holiday.

Solanki bowling suggests they were in BIG trouble!
Yeah well the pitch was turning quite a bit and they had to use their only spinners in Hick and Solanki or the match would have been over in half the time!

G Hick figure are a tad nice to him... he was punished in his first few overs, however came back when Symo and Walker were happy to knock it around so managed to dragg thme in a bit, unlike the overseas player Kemp!

A few interesting observations today - the following performances can safely be ignored :

1. Corky takes 6-28 (doesn't count for anything - was against Hampshire)

2. 24 wickets (and counting) go down in a day at Scarborough. I bet the groundsman says 'well, it's been a dry summer'. Person to profit most - Kabir Ali (8-53). Kirby got a 'six-for' for the Yorkies.

3. Rampers hits a big hundred against Notts, Thorpe makes 99, Rikki a brisk 36.
