hey halesy, u have *quite clearly* pointed out in your signature that you are blue vice captain, Liam is the captain, and with him missing i was the captain, my understanding is that would make me the vice captain, if you follow

Dissapointing to lose that one, but there were definatley some positives. Waughney, Marjin and lezama batted well and Rose bowled well. now we have to learn to take those perfromances and win games with them

Glad to finally make my OD Debut and proud to be a part of the Blacks.

David Kearsley 9.0 0 32 0 3.56 1 1

David Kearsley b. Waughney 65 74 4 2 87.8%

And One Catch. I cant really see anythnig wrong with that Debut.

And what a thrilling win by the blacks. Well done and keep it up.

Beautiful stuff throughout from the Reds there - clinical effort. Commendation to Gibbsnsmith for one of his first decent innings this season (given his normal standard) - to Wrighty for finally getting some good bowling in in OD, to Steds and the captain for economical bowling, to Ghansar for wrapping up the tail...really, for everyone.

Well played Blacks, the team won us through

Well played Kears. Well played C Buts.

Happy with my 2-29 though like Mr P am a little surprised at the bowling order - I guess we just wanted to make a game of it :p At the end of the day whatever works for the team works for me.

After many nights at the bar following our wins... and coming home ****ed most nights i've decided to have a little catch up post.

Team... top effort, we're all gelling now and starting to show our worth, the experienced guys are making a real fist of it now. It's been great to see the likes of Gibbs and Jagaways really stand up with the bat. Leading the team without the likes of Marc and Buggsy involves more than just one person taking the captaincy position. It involves the handful of guys who have been around for a while to stand up... and that's what's happened.

We then have a lot of young guys who are really coming through like Ghansar who's showing the spirit and guts to really want to succeed at this level.

I'd prefer it if you came to me first about your batting position and other things... my email addy is always open team at ianmarkus85@yahoo.com or Msn ikky_1@hotmail.com. I'll talk about it all with you in there. To start making public announcements about your personal concerns with the team isn't really cricket and gives other teams the oppurtunity to pick it up and sense we have disharmony.

I don't know if any of that just made sense. I'm not very articulate you see.

But for now let's keep on fighting and surging, and the wins will follow.

I batted well but I stunk up the field bowling, which is annoying 'cause so far I've been pretty good. Enjoyed the partnership with Lezama, good stuff.

well done blacks but my name is yasa fayaz not faraz...
Noted. Initially I had you listed as Faraz, but then I realized and thought I'd fixed all the databases (there are 3 of them - 5D, OD, Smash) to Fayaz, but apparently I missed the OD. All fixed now.

Hmmm.... the CWBCC will have to investigate this whole 'pep talker' scandal.
It's hardly a scandal...what's wrong with employing someone for motivational purposes??
If having a pep talker is wrong, then so are sports psycologists, but they aren't scandals are they?

CRICKET WEB RED 285/6 50.0 overs
ENGLAND 'A' 251/5 50.0 overs

Cricket Web Red won by 34 runs

Man of the match: Ian Markus

Daily Blast Comment: Back-to-back wins for the struggling CW Red. Another impressive win batting first and some more impressive captaincy from Ian Markus. The spin ploy didn't quite work out today as it did in the last game, but Markus got good work from his seamers on this occasion after the batsmen recovered from a slow start to post a big total. Much credit must be given to Samuel Vimes for some amazing acceleration at the end of the innings alongside Zaid Ghansar.

Cricket Web Blue won by 109 runs

Man of the match: StUEy

Daily Blast Comment: Dominance by the Blues in victory. StUEy, Umpire, Broncoman, Toogood, Peter Young - all contributed swiftly to a massive total. Then, perhaps intimidated by the target, the Greens lost 3 wickets in the first 10 and never really recovered, eventually appearing to have resigned to defeat in frustration.

Great team effort! Good batting, shows we have the depth even though some of our best batsmen are off. Class bowling too...Kennett and Wrighty continue on their fine form.

(and England's bowling must be really poor if they let me off with 36*, but who gives a damn...we won!)
