lol @ the pun....

Think the big workloads of the first few 4 day games maybe starting to catch up with me a bit with my pace dropping, but getting a 5 for is always good. Its good to see everyone doing pretty well at the half way point, lets have a strong second half of our stay!:)

Those under 15 buggers deserved everything they got...
and i didn't pinch the barmaids bum, she hit me for no reason.

It's good to be back on the track. Happy with the wickets, that's for sure. The side felt great, and hopefully I can roll over as many top order batsmen and scare as many tail enders as possible.

Still want to work on my pace, not clicking 150 is really getting to me. I know i can bowl 155, it's just a matter of time. Perhaps I need to bowl with the wind and downhill at Joondalup....

Back from injury and keen as mustard once more, super keen to hit hte second half of the perth season hard as.

Hopefully you open the batting against joondalup......I could give you a well deserved break by hitting a glove or three or four.

Round 6 - 4D

Name: TJ Demeza
Club: Joondalup
Opposition: Scarborough
Venue: Abbett Park
Result: Scarborough 267 & 0/150 beat Joondalup 214 & 201 by 10 Wickets
1st Innings Batting (9): 0(6)
1st Innings Bowling (1): 22.5-2-90-6 (inc. D Bandy, T Doropoulos, B Casson, A Collins, B Williams)
Avg Speed: 153.3 km/h
2nd Innings Batting (9): 0(6)
2nd Innings Bowling (1): 11-3-49-0
Avg Speed: 140.4 km/h
Awards: Nil
Coaches Comments: Good game, and good pace in the first innings. Fell away in the 2nd though, but hopefully he was just saving himself for the next few weeks. Picked up some big name wickets in his haul of 6 including Warriors Dave Bandy, Beau Casson and Brad Williams, and Australian rep Theo Doropoulos, plus some bloke.. Adam someone?
Rating: 9/10

Name: AAA Collins
Club: Scarborough
Opposition: Joondalup
Venue: Abbett Park
Result: Scarborough 267 & 0/150 beat Joondalup 214 & 201 by 10 Wickets
1st Innings Batting (8): 0(3)
1st Innings Bowling (2): 17-10-19-2 (inc. R Campbell)
Avg Speed: 102.0 km/h
2nd Innings Batting (9): DNB
2nd Innings Bowling (3): 15.2-6-30-1 (inc. R Campbell)
Avg Speed: 97.4 km/h
Awards: Nil
Coaches Comments: Didn't take many wickets, but getting Cambo twice in the match is no mean feat. His first innings with the new ball was sensational and easilly the pick of the bowlers. However he didn't produce as much in the second as he was relegated to first change with Banger Harvey opening the bowling instead. Still doesn't know which way to hold a bat, though - luckilly thats not why he's in there :p

Name: CP Thompson
Club: Perth
Opposition: Fremantle
Venue: Fletcher Park
Result: Perth 290 & 368 drew with Fremantle 489 & 0/159
1st Innings Batting (2): 6(13)
1st Innings Bowling (3): 38-5-115-1
Avg Speed: 141.3 km/h
2nd Innings Batting (2): 31(46)
2nd Innings Bowling (2): 11-0-43-0
Avg Speed: 147.7 km/h
Awards: Nil
Coaches Comments: Didn't bowl as badly as figures suggested as Fremantle simply hit all the bowlers out of the attack. Shouldn't beat himself up about his figures, as they were much more respectable than some of the other bowlers in the team, only Paul Keenan excelling. Might be rested next 4D game as he looks a bit tired, and Perth will be saving him for some explosive spells to round the season off.

Venue: Fletcher Park
Result: Perth 290 & 368 drew with Fremantle 489 & 0/159
1st Innings Batting (8): 5(34) [B Dorey 3(5)]
1st Innings Bowling (4): 19-4-53-2 [B Dorey 2/75]
Avg Speed: 141.3 km/h
2nd Innings Batting (8): DNB [B Dorey DNB]
2nd Innings Bowling (4): 23.2-7-47-5 (inc. L Ronchi, C Thompson, P Keenan) [B Dorey 1/89]
Avg Speed: 132.7 km/h
Awards: Nil [B Dorey - Nil]
Coaches Comments: Keeps up the good performances each week, and proved that its not the faster he bowls that gets wickets. Bowled one of his quickest spells all season in the first innings, that reaped little reward and he sprayed a few down leg, slowed it up and regained some control and the wickets came. He picked it up himself and corrected. Good on him, no really... good on him.

Name: BC Cunningham
Club: Melville
Opposition: Rockingham-Mandurah
Venue: Settlers Hill
Result: Melville 632 beat Rockingham-Mandurah 143 & 422 by an Innings and 68 Runs
1st Innings Batting (1): 181(307)
1st Innings Bowling (3): 6.4-1-23-3 (inc. C Simmons, P Wilson)
Avg Speed: 142.5 km/h
2nd Innings Batting (1): DNB
2nd Innings Bowling (3): 29-8-66-2
Avg Speed: 143.3 km/h
Awards: MoM
Coaches Comments: Earnt MoM mainly from his batting as he was promoted to open against the pathetic Rockingham-Mandurah attack. Bryce played like it was a bunch of kids bowling at him from down the road. His bowling also reaped some rewards snatching a few wickets along the way. After a bit of a lean spell with the bat and ball this game was a relief.

Name: NS Hoy
Club: Rockingham-Mandurah
Opposition: Melville
Venue: Settlers Hill
Result: Melville 632 beat Rockingham-Mandurah 143 & 422 by an Innings and 68 Runs
1st Innings Batting (5): 4(9)
1st Innings Bowling (2): 50-14-133-2 (inc. A Voges)
Avg Speed: 148.2 km/h
2nd Innings Batting (5): 0(16)
2nd Innings Bowling (2): DNB
Avg Speed: DNB
Awards: Nil
Coaches Comments: Not the worst bowler, and claimed the captain Adam Voges, however Melville batting was in another class. Tried extremely hard for 50 tough overs, but never gave up and kept his pace up all game. I think I know who'll be getting some personal massage by the busty and well hung physios down at RM tonight.

Meh, not too worried about 3/49 from 32.2 overs if it means we win comfortably. Can't explain my batting though.

If I can count correctly I've bowled 128 maidens out of 266.5 overs in the 4D matches so far, ER of 1.75. Would like a few more wickets though.

Apologies about no 1D round yesterday, got a phone call to do a quick tow job and some panal beating after my mate put his VU ute into a tree *sigh* Todays rounds will come tomorrow, tonight is panal beating night - apologies, unexpected circumstances.
