Round 4 4D
Name: TJ Demeza
Club: Joondalup
Opposition: Niggle
Venue: Iluka Sporting Complex - Bar
Result: Travis - 12, Cambo - 9
Awards: Nil
Coaches Comments: Although he still had to bat, Cambo and Travis faced off in a drinking contest before the first innings, one which Travis won convincingly, however Cambo got the last laugh, scoring a well made 104 at the top of the order. Had a bit of a bowl in the nets during the game against some Ocean Ridge U/15's batsmen, is making progress with his side niggle, but is still a couple of games off. We'll assess it after each game, but have set Round 5 1D as his comeback match - all things going to plan.
Name: AAA Collins
Club: Scarborough
Opposition: Fremantle
Venue: Abbett Park
Result: Scarborough 153 & 161 lost to Fremantle 207 & 418 by 311 Runs
1st Innings Batting (9): 10*(26)
1st Innings Bowling (4): 18-7-37-1
Avg Speed: 100.7 km/h
2nd Innings Batting (9): 0(23)
2nd Innings Bowling (3): 36-16-72-3 (inc. N Borcich)
Avg Speed: 96.8 km/h
Awards: Nil
Coaches Comments: Not a bad effort from Adam as Scarborough got pumped by Fremantle. Did well in the second innings, and started swinging the ball both ways late in the game, but alas it wasn't enough to save his team. Speeds were good and consistant throughout the game, and was rarely erratic.
Rating: 6/10
Name: CP Thompson
Club: Perth
Opposition: Melville
Venue: Tompkins Park
Result: Melville 362 beat Perth 171 & 185 by an innings and 6 Runs
1st Innings Batting (6): 15(28)
1st Innings Bowling (3): 28.1-6-89-5 (inc. C Tremlett, S Magoffin)
Avg Speed: 151.2 km/h
2nd Innings Batting (6): 27(58)
2nd Innings Bowling (0): DNB
Avg Speed: DNB
Awards: Nil
Coaches Comments: Only the one innings of bowling, but a rewarding one. Whatever he and Dave Kennett worked on during the week paid off, with Callum regaining his control, and keeping solid pace throughout his overs. Hopefully he can continue to focus on the errors and try to iron them out so it becomes first nature, but will need to put in the hard yards in the next few weeks.

2nd Innings Batting (7): 0(8) [B Dorey 29(82)]
2nd Innings Bowling (5): 10-6-16-3 (inc. T Doropoulos, B Casson) [B Dorey 2/44 - inc. C Heron, K Harvey]
Avg Speed: 131.8 km/h
Awards: Nil [B Dorey - Nil]
Coaches Comments: Will be delighted with his efforts and is unlucky to miss out on the MoM award. Blame a Zimbabwean export with a funny haircut for that. Pretty decent second innings efort, keeping it tight and snaring 3 good wickets as Scarborough started to offer some resistance.

2nd Innings Bowling (4): 11-5-22-3 (inc. G Nottle)

Coaches Comments: Earnt yet another MoM. His bowling had alot of zip about it, and the batsmen were finding it extremely difficult to get used to his pace. Ended up taking a few wickets both innings and bowling at a good economy rate, is on fire so far this season, 2nd in the wicket takers list thus far.

2nd Innings Batting (6): 24*(46)
2nd Innings Bowling (2): 16-4-32-3
Avg Speed: 145.0

Coaches Comments: Again Nathan continued his up and down form, not helped though being grouped into a team of uncoordinated country bumpkins as they were humiliated by a half strength Joondalup side. Nathan tried his best by all accounts, and gave the Joondalup batsmen a scare after dismissing the top 3 early on very cheaply, however it wasn't enough in the end.
