I know I've got international experience but wouldn't mind getting a run next year. Never too old to learn.

I'm struggling to break into the CWXI so I need all the help I can get but don't worry. :) This discussion isn't necessary anyway.

Round 3 1D

Here we are lads. 4D'ers will follow up this evening. Keep up the good work guys.

Name: AAA Collins
Club: Scarborough
Opposition: Rockingham-Mandurah
Venue: Settlers Hill
Result: Rockingham-Mandurah 9/181 lost to Scarborough 6/182 by 4 Wickets
Batting (5): 7(13)
Bowling Figures (3): 10-1-24-3 (inc. C Simmons)
Extras: 0xNoBall, 0xWides
Avg Speed: 112.0 km/h
Top Speed: 122.7 km/h
Awards: Nil
Coaches Comments: Just about the perfect game there, his nagging mediums were jumping around everywhere on the minefield aka Settlers Hill. Didn't conceed any extras, and took 3 vital wickets. However, being promoted up the order didn't reap as many rewards.
Rating: 9/10

Name: TJ Demeza
Club: Joondalup
Opposition: Perth
Venue: Iluka Sporting Complex
Result: Perth 6/234 lost to Joondalup 5/235 by 5 Wickets
Batting (10): DNB
Bowling Figures (2): 10-0-46-1
Extras: 1xNoBall, 1xWides
Avg Speed: 137.4 km/h
Top Speed: 145.1 km/h
Awards: Nil
Coaches Comments: Another quiet one dayer for Travis. Got a taste of the new ball, and bowled a reasonable opening spell, but didn't look as potent as he has done in Club Cricket and Dev League. Possibly tired after a long season with little breaks could be to blame.
Rating: 4/10

Name: NA Borcich
Club: Fremantle
Opposition: Melville
Venue: Stevens Reserve
Result: Melville 5/228 beat Fremantle 4/218 by 10 Runs
Batting (9): DNB [B Dorey DNB]
Bowling Figures (2): 7-1-17-1 (inc. B Cunningham) [B Dorey 0/30]
Extras: 0xNoBall, 0xWides
Avg Speed: 131.8 km/h
Top Speed: 142.4 km/h
Awards: Nil
Coaches Comments: Bowled his 7 overs in a McGrath-like opening spell, which saw the batsmen struggle to put bat on ball, nevermind scoring runs. Didnt conceed any extras either, which is crucial in the 1D game. He would have liked a few more wickets given the pitch conditions.
Rating: 7/10

Name: CP Thompson
Club: Perth
Opposition: Joondalup
Venue: Iluka Sporting Complex
Result: Perth 6/234 lost to Joondalup 5/235 by 5 Wickets
Batting (8): 4*(1)
Bowling Figures (2): 7-0-43-1
Extras: 1xNoBall, 3xWides
Avg Speed: 148.3 km/h
Top Speed: 154.4 km/h
Awards: Nil
Coaches Comments: Had an erratic stint with the new ball early on with his first over conceeding 14 with 2 wides, was taken off after 3 overs, but came back later with a bit more venom capturing a wicket and only going for 3 an over in his final spell. Will be disapointed given his recent performances set a high benchmark.
Rating: 3/10

Name: NS Hoy
Club: Rockingham-Mandurah
Opposition: Scarborough
Venue: Settlers Hill
Result: Rockingham-Mandurah 9/181 lost to Scarborough 6/182 by 4 Wickets
Batting (4): 80(145)
Bowling Figures (1): 8.4-0-34-3 (inc. L Davis, D Bandy, T Doropoulos)
Extras: 1xNoBall, 1xWides
Avg Speed: 148.5 km/h
Top Speed: 157.7 km/h
Awards: MoM
Coaches Comments: Outstanding All-round display from HoyBoy. The only batsman to pass 50 in the match, in difficult batting conditions. Captured 3 of Scarboroughs best batsmen, Liam Davis, Dave Bandy and Theo Doropoulos, and almost won the game for RM off his own performances. Still carrying the bowling attack, although a positive sign was Paul Wilson managed to get through 8 overs without breaking down.
Rating: 8/10

Name: BC Cunningham
Club: Melville
Opposition: Fremantle
Venue: Stevens Reserve
Result: Melville 5/228 beat Fremantle 4/218 by 10 Runs
Batting (2): 4(12)
Bowling Figures (1): 10-1-41-3 (inc. S Marsh)
Extras: 0xNoBall, 0xWides
Avg Speed: 145.6 km/h
Top Speed: 158.0 km/h
Awards: Nil
Coaches Comments: Bowled well under the circumstances, not conceeding any extras, and taking wickets. Just did enough for his team to secure the win, dismissing all of the top 3 batsmen - Shaun Marsh, Justin Ifould and Sohail Mohideen, all quality batsmen.
Rating: 7/10

Very happy with my 10-1-24-3 there, obviously the coaching is having an immediate effect. :) Pity about my top-order debut though. :p

Round 3 4D

Name: TJ Demeza
Club: Joondalup
Opposition: Perth
Venue: Fletcher Park
Result: Perth 428 & 1/14 beat Joondalup 183 & 257 by 9 Wickets
1st Innings Batting (11): 0*(1)
1st Innings Bowling (2): 21-5-85-1 (inc: C Thompson)
Avg Speed: 127.2 km/h
2nd Innings Batting (11): 0(2)
2nd Innings Bowling (1): 3-1-2-1
Avg Speed: 128.2 km/h
Awards: Nil
Coaches Comments: Just after everyone thought he was finding form with his 5fer last match he took a step backwards. It's clear Travis may be carrying a niggling injury and might be rested from the next round of games to ensure he comes good. Self preservation is vital when theres still a large number of games to be played.
Rating: 3/10

Name: AAA Collins
Club: Scarborough
Opposition: Rockingham-Mandurah

Result: Scarborough 490 & 2/55 beat Rockingham-Mandurah 246 & 298fo by 8 Wickets
1st Innings Batting (7): 6(15)
1st Innings Bowling (3): 26-12-54-5 (inc. N Hoy, A Heal)

2nd Innings Batting (8): DNB
2nd Innings Bowling (3): 24-17-21-1
Avg Speed: 94.6 km/h
Awards: Nil
Coaches Comments: The perfect game? Earnt a 10/10 from me due to the fact it's the best bowling display from all of the boys so far. He displayed 2 styles of his game in the match. First innings he got thrown the ball early on, and seemed to have a bit of a spring in his step, stepped up his speed considerably, but didn't lose his line or length and managed a 5fer. Second innings he was the opposite, back to his nagging best and finished with some amazing figures of 24 overs, 17 maidens, 1 for 21. Not bad for a medium pacer eh.

2nd Innings Bowling (3): 23-6-66-0
Avg Speed: 147.5 km/h

Coaches Comments: A day Callum would like to forget I suspect. Lowlight would have to of been misjudging a low full toss from Travis and being comprehensively bowled by it. Would like to find some consistancy I suspect, and Dave Kennett has been assigned to work 1-on-1 with Callum to sort out his fluency issue in his action.

1st Innings Bowling (5): 31-11-70-4 (inc. S Gillies, B Cunningham) [B Dorey 4/110 - inc. S Meuleman, S Magoffin]

Avg Speed: 124.4 km/h
Awards: Nil [B Dorey - Nil]
Coaches Comments: Bowled well in the first innings, was moving it around off the seam a great deal early on. First innings dismissals included 2 caught behinds, a bowled and a lbw. Looked flat in the second innings however, didn't have his usual consistancy, and was down on pace.

2nd Innings Bowling (4): 21-3-82-0
Avg Speed: 148.8 km/h

Coaches Comments: Another great batting effort in the first innings, followed up with an innings of tight, nippy bowling. Highlight came when he dismissed Nick Borcich with a lovely ball that nipped back and went through the wide open gate Borcich left open, taking middle and off 3/4 of the way up. Didn't do much in the 2nd innings however, which was dissapointing, but had good pace throughout.

Coaches Comments: Would have to be sore after a 41 over first innings. Great econ and produced wickets, one of his best bowling performances so far IMO. Average speed was down in the first innings, which is a result of such long spells tiring him out I believe. He came out firing in the secnod innings and produced one of the quickest spells of bowling all season in the 4D comp, it was enough to secure the 2 Scarborough opening batsmen in their small runchase.

Still pretty steady from myself, have yet to take a real bag yet but

Well done to Collins and Hoy on great performances

Well, I thought I could push through the niggling side injury, but apparently not.

Need a few games off resting I think. It's been a hectic last few months, firstly for the blues, then Port of Spain and now Joondalup (good one day win boys over perth).

Perhaps having a few coldies with the feet up watching the boys will do this sore body wonders :)

Can i ask where u get the speeds from? are the automatically processed or just a guess?
Yes you can ask.

They are 'semi randomly' generated.

When I say semi randomly, each bowler is restricted in a way - you're not going to find adam collins hurling down 150km/h beamers. Each bowling style (ie F, FM, MF, M ect.) has an allowance bracket, and the numbers are generated in between those allowances. Don't ask me what the allowances are, as I didn't make it. Hakon, speak up if you dare.

LF isn't throwing them down fast enough at this stage for Demeza, but i'll blame it on fatigue ;)
