Makes it a bit of a bowl-off for the twirlers then!
the captain is a certainty, and my money is on Soda Pop as another/the other sure-of-place spinner. Me and Reubs can play rock, paper, scissors for 3rd place

Liam's got major revision issues from what I could gather when I've had chance to speak to him, I'm sure he'll get round to it at some point, we just have to be nice and patient.

Trio of hundreds leads crushing Webhead win

Another crushing result came to pass for Cricket Web 'A' in the second "Test" against Pakistan 'A'. Three Webheads scored hundreds in the match, as victory came by 216 runs when Popat had Saeed caught at midwicket.

Having won the toss and electing to bat first, the Webheads quickly slumped to 67/5 with more top order complications. The batting of David Kearsley was the point of revelation though. The right-hander stroked 12 boundaries in a mature fourth FC hundred and his second on the 'A' tour.

He received solid support from Sudeep Popat and Dave Richards, before forging an unlikely 100-run stand with (whilst being outscored by) number 11 Rob Timewell. Timewell hit 9 fours and 2 sixes on his way to a maiden FC half-century, smoking his previous best of 13.

Cricket Web reached 293 all out, then Timewell dug in with the ball for 3 wickets, as all the bowlers got involved and Pakistan 'A' crumbled for 133. Batting the second time around, the CW top order finally found its stroke.

Peter Young hit a very solid hundred whilst Rob Dauth was almost in complete command of the bowling for his ton. The two added 223 runs for the second wicket to set up a score of 344/6 dec. and a victory target of 560.

The Pakistanis showed much more fight the second time around, but the Cricket Web bowlers kept plugging away, and took wickets at key moments. Once again every bowler took a wicket in a true team effort.

Rob Timewell was named Man of the Match for his all-round efforts.

Brilliant win, lads. We showed 'em :D

Not sure about the captains reluctance to bowl himself, though

Great win again lads, think we've shown so far that CW has a bright future with some of the youngsters coming through.
