I've just had to read that twice because I couldn't believe my eyes the first time. Happy with my own performance but delighted with the thorough spanking that's been handed out by this squad in the last three 'Tests'.

Awesome stuff guys. Has been a real pleasure. Cheers, fellas.
WOW!

Have a pike for that batting effort. It's on me.

Those are terrific stats! 9 played, 7 won, 1 lost, 1 drawn! Top bowling effort there, Hoy, Timewell and Bennett all taking over 20 wickets, all averaging under 20! Of course, the batting was okay, Pete leading the way, Cunningham hitting some classic centuries, and most other batsmen offering some support.

WELL DONE CW 'A'!

Searches aren't accessible by others once done, so the "no matches" is a misleading result.
LOL, I was wondering why Steds' gave us no result, I thought he'd looked up posts by the username Rob Timewell.

Well, now we know.

Hoy steams over Faisalabad

Nathan Hoy put on a clinic of quality pace bowling, taking 5 wickets as Cricket Web 'A' won its warmup OD game against Faisalabad Region. With his second OD 5-wicket bag of the tour, Hoy stamped his authority on the Faisalabad top order with 2 early wickets, before returning late to crucially take 3 more.

Despite a fighting innings of 97 from skipper Misbah-ul-Haq and some late fireworks off the legspin of Sean Bennett, CW defended a total of 241 by 37 runs.

Bennett topscored with the bat, as the Webheads won the toss and took first strike. His solid half-century kept things together early on, in building a good platform. Late wickets stemmed the progress a bit, but Cunningham hit a six and a four at the very end to push the score along nicely.

<B>Cricket Web 'A'</B> 241/9 (50 overs)
<B>Faisalabad Region</B> 204/9 (50 overs)

Judging by performances in this series, I can see a Test squad looking something like this:

Openers: Fitzsimmons, Young, Mørk
Middle-order batsmen: Cloete, Kearsley, Goff, Butler
All-rounders: Robbins, Cunningham
Spinners: Pickup, Halsey, one of Bennett/Richards
Seamers: Wright, Rose, one of Hoy/Kennett/Bhatia

Note that this is not in any way official, just my thoughts.
