What about the reserve spinners at the different clubs, i know at Blue we have Tucker, Blaze and myself. Don't the other clubs have reserve spinners too, there is also that new guy Behol who signed up. Are we the only spinners or does Green, Red and Black have some reserve spinners as well.
Why it matters I do not know, but at Red we have Sean Bennett as our #1 Spinner, waiting in the wings Pratyush and Chris Law. I've probably forgotton some rookies, but Sean does the majority of spin work combined with a couple of part time options.

The "put a SR and an econ or else he takes a wicket every ball" error. In this case it was regarding Quaser Abbas. I got suspicious after took he took a hat-trick with his first 3 balls.
Oh yes, I remember the fun and games we had with the ALFTA DB and that sort of occurance!

Black reserve spin options are Rob Hing's left arm orthodox, and if we're really desperate, Ferd's offies.

May be looking to strengthen that next season.

Sudeep shines at Rawalpindi

The Webheads continued in mixed form to overcome Rawalpindi by 140 runs what turned out a tricky surface at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The Cricket Web top order failed in both innings, and rear-guard action from the tail rescued the show.

Popat knocked his second consecutive half-century on tour in the first innings, then Verghese was positive in his contribution of 70 in the second. It was the bowlers who really starred though, as the batsmen wasted away after winning the toss - 196 all out first up.

Timewell led the first innings charge back, taking 4 key wickets, before opening up the lower order to the wiles of Sean Bennett. Rawalpindi was dismissed for just 114 and the tourists led by 82 into the second innings.

Attempting to maximize the grant, the Webheads were found struggling 88/6 before Verghese and Bennett came into action. The eventual total of 212 left 285 as the victory target for Rawalpindi.

The hosts advanced carefully to 83/2, but quickly crumbled from there against the consistent legbreaks of Sudeep Popat. Popat took 5 wickets and his captain 3, as victory was forthcoming.

Good solid win by the boys on a pitch that held a few daemons in it. Bowlers all performed fairly well, whilst the form of the top order is very average at the moment...More work in the nets and less Llama conversations should set thing straight for us for the rest of the tour.

I told you Sudeep should have gone. ;)

On another note, well bowled and batted (29 & 31 off 141), Sean. Useful when the top order doesn't want to stay in.

Must say I'm not so sure the 1 seamer option is a good one to persist with - leaves the new ball attack a bit weak.

I hope it's safe to assume that the squad is being rotated and that both Cunningham and Hoy missing out on that game was just due to them being rested!

Fantastic win. Well done, mates. Pleased with my own efforts as well. Hopefully I continue this way...

Makes it a bit of a bowl-off for the twirlers then!
