Mis-spelling?
In what way. Mate, who is the Australian Captain who has lost heaps more in head to head Aus V Eng ODIs than winning ?

If you are referring to the 3rd part of the question- re- who are the three Australian captains who have not lost a single ODI to England ? Yes you are quite right. Punter who had a perfect record against England now loses it and only 2 are left .(Both these only captained solitary ODIs against England and one of these 2 is part of the current Team :p ).

Greg Chappell would be my guess - the Aussies in general in the 1970's were quite inept in ODI's (we were the only ones who played the game regularly)

And Unlucky Ted strikes!! :devil2: :kicking: :sport:
G.S.Chappell - Won 1 , lost 8

The other 2 Aussie skippers to lose more v Eng in ODIs - Ian Chappell won 2 lost 3, Mark Taylor won 2 lost 3.

the 2 skippers never to lose to England - WM Lawry - Played 1 won 1 , Like wise Adam Gilchrist - Captained 1 won 1.

Over to you !!

What development which revolutionised the game was William Fennex of Buckinghamshire (and later Middlesex) responsible for in the 1790's ?

Question - (cbuts, Voltman where are thee .... :D )

There are only 2 Kiwis who have played Tests in cricket and rugby. Who are they ? What is unique about one of them ?

How many NZ all blacks have played International Cricket ? (Only the question in bold wins.)

Is Martin Donnelly one of them? He definitely played Rugby for us!
Correct. He's the Unique one. Having played Test Cricket for New Zealand, He played Test Rugby for England.

There's only one other person who played Tests in Cricket and Rugby for NZ.

I will give it to you. The other is Eric Tindill who played 5 tests in cricket and one solitary All black Test in Rugby.

There are six other All Blacks who played International Cricket - ML (Curly) Page and George Dickinson (only played Cricket Tests but not rugby Tests), Brian McKechnie, Charlie Oliver and Jeff Wilson.(who only played Rugby Tests and ODI's) and Bill Carson(who did not play Tests in either Rugby or Cricket).

Over to you !!

Right. :)

The 512th & 604th players to play test cricket for England share a unique distinction.

Who are they & what is it?

Arnie and Ryan Sidebottom
They are one Test wonders ? (at least so far, but Ryan is still young and might still play many Tests- I hope he does) (also of course Father and son)

Yep. Got it in one. :)

They're the only father & son to represent England in tests who also have the unfortunate distinction of also being one-cap wonders.

Never say never, but I'd be a little suprised if Ryan adds to his!

Back to you...

Since We are heading to Champions Trophy Final Eng V WI, this question relates to that -

Question -

Which England captain has the best record in ODI's (ie Win/Loss ratio) against West Indies ?

Which England Captain has the worst record (More losses than wins) ?

Please exclude players who captained solitary ODIs (Alan Knott, Alan Lamb, Nasser Hussein) against WI. Answer to question in bold wins.

Correct. MW Gatting Eng V WI record in ODIs - Won 9 lost 1

Worst record of Eng captains (v WI in ODIs)- JM (Mike) Brearley - Won 1 lost 5 (Tony Greig captained in 2 ODIs for Eng v WI and lost both too, along with Nasser Hussein, Alan knott, Alan Lamb who captained and lost the solitary ODI they played against WI)

Over to you !!

Who was picked to captain one of the universities in the 1982 Ox/Camb match, but skipped it to play in a Test match for England ?
