Considering that he must be a bowler who played enough matches to score so many ducks, he should have taken quite a good number of wickets too.

He did play 2 tests . But luckily managed 2 , DNB, 1 and DNB , thus avoiding the Duck in Tests !! (Going by the number of Ducks he managed to get in his career, this has to be considered an achievement !! )

In fact his scores were 2 n.o and 1 n.o in the 2 tests , thus giving him no average in test cricket or if you like an average of infinity .

Here's another clue then - Test Debut 1939, Under Walter Hammond other famous names in the Team were Sir Len Hutton, Bill Edrich, Hedley Verity and Les Ames .
