But I will give it to you and tell it since you got the leaves bit and 50% of a guess at the country.

They put leaves into a hat to mark the runs scored.\
When the other side came into bat, they started taking the leaves out of the hat.
When all leaves were gone, one run was needed for a win !!
If the innings ended before the leaves did, the winning margin was the number of leaves left in the hat !!!

I told you it was quaint :)

I thought this one would last about 2 mins, I was looking for a question that anyone on this forum could answer with a little research :)

Here are some other names that could be on this list: John Inverarity, Brad Hogg and Lindsay Hassett.

You are quite close their Jamee, it is to do with thier christian names, but more want they are known by rather then what they were christen. I hope that helps some one to answer now :p
