Newk is related to Warren Bardsley, but I don't think he won 3 singles titles?

Is it Norman Brookes?

I think It is Fred Perry. I remember reading something about him in a cricket book but cant recall. :@

No, it's John Newcombe. He won singles titles in 1967, 1970, and 1971.
