Which test cricketer has the nickname of Dickens?
Ed Smith (Kent & England)?

He has a double-first from Cambridge (in History IIRC) & has written a rather good book called "Playing Hard Ball" about county cricket & major league baseball.

Faisal Hossain (Bangladesh)

This from Cricinfo -

Curiously nicknamed 'Dickens’, Faisal is a rare specialist left-handed batsman in the Bangladesh side.

Since I have no doubt that the above was the correct answer, I will go ahead and post next question. James90 can confirm the answer when he next visits the thread . :)

Question

Who is the only wicket keeper in the history of Test cricket who became the leading wicket taker in an innings ? (By this I mean with the ball. Most wickets as a bowler.)

I am off to the movies, but will check answer afterwards .(Off to see Phantom of the opera the movie !!  )

Alfred Lyttleton the English wicket keeper who was put on to bowl against Australia when all else failed and grabbed 4 wickets for 19 runs in his 12 overs of which 5 were maidens. He was the 10th bowler to be put on to bowl in that Aussie innings of 551 with Arthur Shrewsbury being put on to bowl even after the keeper !! This was at The Brit Oval in August 1884.

I am not going to be here for long so anyone else may ask the next question.

Hon. Alfred Lyttelton to be exact. :D

Question (this should be easy)

Who is the only cricketer to score a Century and a Fifty in his debut Test and never to play Test Cricket ever again.

Jonty Rhodes who got his first bowl in an ODI in his 200th game against the Windies at the Arnos Vale Ground in May 2001 when he bowled 1.2 overs for 3 runs.
