Or the World T20.Could have sat out of them and played at least of one of the ODI series. The affect would have been same.

Exactly.
I dunno about that. Didn't he injure his finger in the last IPL ?
I hate the IPL as much as the next guy for taking up valuable space in the cricket calendar that can be used for better purposes, but a guy like Tendulkar probably has a lot more things to worry about than just his legacy before he decides whether or not to play the IPL. Whether cricket purists like us like it or not, the thing is a massive commercial juggernaut (and hugely popular among the masses) and there are probably a lot of powerful people that he has to oblige when it comes to playing the IPL.Could have sit out of them and played at least of one of the ODI series. Surely no-one can force Sachin Tendulkar to play if he doesn't want to ?I hate the IPL as much as the next guy for taking up valuable space in the cricket calendar that can be used for better purposes, but a guy like Tendulkar probably has a lot more things to worry about than just his legacy before he decides whether or not to play the IPL. Exactly. There should be apologetic explanations. Let's not make a saint out of Tendulkar. Let's say it loud and clear that he plays IPL and not ODI's for money.Asking any player, even SRT not to play the IPL is foolish. It's incredible, easy money.
It'd have been more foolish to start the IPL without it's number 1 draw.It isn't foolish to ask him not to play the IPL. He can play all he wants after he retires from international cricket.
Well, I think it was foolish to start the IPL in the first place. It'd have been more foolish to start the IPL without it's number 1 draw.
The ripest mangoes get the maximum stones pelt at It is sheer jealousy or the innate desire to "stand out" of the crowd. Some people criticise for the sake of it.Is it me or some people miss no oppurtunity to criticise Tendulkar?
No matter how unreasonable or pedantic it is.
Specially fans of a certain west indian legend or an Australian one?
While that may be true, a lot of Tendulkar fans get way too sensitive to any criticismIs it me or some people miss no oppurtunity to criticise Tendulkar?

Any more sensitive than carrying a liability with the bat for 4 years and a mediocre captain to boot in the national squad? While that may be true, a lot of Tendulkar fans get way too sensitive to any criticism
I think you are just proving his point.Any more sensitive than carrying a liability with the bat for 4 years and a mediocre captain to boot in the national squad?
Tendulkar fans don't get sensitive in isolation. They get sensitive because the likes of Ian Chappell reserve their infinite cricket wisdom for Tendulkar - insinuate that he is playing for money and stats, but when Ponting flounders they say that he is not out of form, but out of luck.
The criticism is usually so ridiculous and pedantic ,that it is difficult not too respond tbf. While that may be true, a lot of Tendulkar fans get way too sensitive to any criticism
He may be being sensitive to an extent ,but he has a valid point.I think you are just proving his point.
Calling it a valid point is being sensitive tbfHe may be being sensitive to an extent ,but he has a valid point.
