Pat Cummins has a lot of USP's that makes him interesting enough to be a top 10 pacer one day..

With Pat, the mental strength he has shown to comeback from career threatening stress fractures which has halted many a fast bowler (Eg, Bond) ..That earns him some extra credit ..

His reliability factor is second to none , he can be a workhorse or a strike bowler with his first spell as good as his last. He's accurate with
enough pace to avoid being lined up ,and he's definitely in the elite category to hit top of off stump consistently which is the dream stock delivery of any fast bowler worth his salt.

Then there is his captaincy , there haven't been many fast bowler captains in test cricket, atleast not for a considerable period because of how demanding the job is, the Australian Test Captaincy is no joke its one of the most important jobs in cricket because of the pressure to win consistently. In fact Pat Cummins has the second most test wickets by a fast bowling captain in Test history only behind Imran Khan. If he can become the second fast bowler to reach 150 test wickets as captain (Currently 125 test wickets @23) or even surpass Imran Khan's tally of 187 that will make his case even stronger.

A good list, but both Bumrah and Cummins ahead of Holding for me. Bumrah has the better quality and Cummins has the wickets. Holding played in the modern era, did not have an astonishingly great record by ATG standards nor an insane longevity.

So Cummins gets a pass for India, Srilanka and Bangladesh but Donald doesn't get one for Australia? Cummins has actually done well only in Aus, SA and Pak while Donald has a well rounded record.
