Strange, Cricinfo says it's 10-1-29-1.

He doesn't seem to be anywhere near the bowler he was a few months ago, the Tests against India have definately dented his confidence because against a team that weak, you would expect more than just 1 wicket. Also I wouldn't read too much into the econ, he mainly bowled to Dion Ebrahim and Grant Flower, the 2 most defensive Zimbabwean batsmen.
Although it was against Zimbabwe, he still did well and deserves some credit for at least making a comeback....not one now ball and only the one wide. Not to mention getting some reverse swing and a couple of overs where nearly all the balls were well directed yorkers...

Unless it's for 3 men behind Square on the Legside (not that this one was!)
Well, really a bowler should notice if that's happened.
Anyway, it's cheating, whether intentionally or not, and you can't say "I'd have left that fielder that took the catch and moved that one there".
I don't count caught-off-a-three-men-behind-square-no-ball as a chance, because usually the batsman knows what he's doing.

I've thought all this before!
I'll wait before proclaiming "ODI batsmen have turned the corner and will no longer gift Brett Lee wickets at about 3 a game".

Well Lee has done a "Lee" again    ......1-83 against India to better his own 1-85 against Pakistan 2 years ago.
Erm, 1-83 doesn't "better" 1-85 as it's inside it!

Haven't you been complaining about Marc making pointless posts aimed at people?
I never said I was perfect. He's fully entitled to report that post. I just did it this once for the pure hell of it. Sorry if I'm only human.

except for Bond, who bowls a consistent line and lenght with a pace of high 140's and in the 150 consistently. Brett lee is complete trash compared to bond!

Perhaps people should take that into consideration when discussing a certain blonde aussie bowler...
We all know he's not perfect, but several people keep going on about how good he is...

In ODI's he is still a very good player to be fair.

I reckon he must be going through a real low period of morale though.

I doubt even Marc could disagree with that...
Some people would have you believe that bowlers deserve any wickets that fall when they're "building pressure".
I even read a Cricinfo report that read something like "in all rights it should have read 'Tendulkar c Stewart b White\Hoggard\Jones\Flintoff\Giles". If a World-read report can suggest, however TIC, that then the sky is the limit for this absurd theory.
A bowler deserves a wicket with a ball that deserves a wicket, and no more. Poor strokes say nothing whatsoever about a bowler's ability, as they happen with equal regularity regardless of accuracy, or "pressure" as some would have it believed.

And yet Bond still doesn't seem to swing the red ball, so hence he's never got good figures when the batting wasn't very poor or the pitches weren't barely distinguishable from the outfield.
Just because he's better than Lee doesn't mean that much! It is based on the faulty theory that Lee is good.

Well depends on which way you call "better" ....maybe its become so bad for Lee that "better" doesn't mean improvement for him anymore

Lee is still a very good ODI bowler - 1 match won't change that.
