What do you think we should respect Bradman or not .from the bottom of your heart . Grow up now L . Bradman is a cricketer and Brett is too. And any person who has guts to perform like that should be respected. And "L" by the way extract Rottenism out of this form .

as for Lee, i think you will find is improving, especcially atm getting more and more condfidence after his injury.
So how come his Test average is rising with every series then?
Even his ODI average has been poor recently.

Best spell for about 2 years. I hope he can do it consistently now. He has saved his place in the team to Sri Lanka.

A lot of experts wrote off Lee and look where he is now. He has taken 3/22, against a team packed with 7 batsmen. He's bowled with real pace and used it quite well, too. No more of the short stuff and wide ones.

It's bowlers like these who make things happen. They make teams win matches. They make teams win Test series. They make teams win World Cups.

He's valuable even without the ball. He has got a few good runs when needed, such as the Test 50 against NZ, with Gilchrist, the ODI 50 against SA, the 2 sixes in he World Cup against Oram and that last over 6 in Sydney. He's also a very good fielder, for a fast bowler. Definitely the kind of player every team would want to have.

I think I was justified in posting what I did when I did.

I still maintained Lee was very good in ODI's and had the potential to be an awsome test bowler as well.

Today he was fantastic his avrage speed over his ten overs was 150.9 top 156.

More impressivly was his line and length he beat the bat some 32!!! times. If they keept record's of these thing's surley that would be a record.

.

But he's taking an awfully Looooooooooong time in the longer version of the game to get established.

Thus the reason I started this topic in the first place.

But looking at how he bowled today fast accurate and swung the ball there is no reason why he cant be a good test bowler he just need's to get his head in gear.

Yeah, the only other person I can think is McGrath.

I think you missed the joke. :P

I have alot of respect for Lee. I cheered my heart out for him today, I was one of the people who stoof up for him (although I'll admit I had my doubts at times...).
Do you really think I'm going to bag Lee when he isn't going so well, when the player I admire the most is going even worse?! I think not.

Further more, why are you calling me L?

You wanna know why ?????:D really ... Off the cricket answer ....

I can't remember when anyone has bowled so well in a ODI for only 3 wickets. That was surreal, he beat the bat ball after ball, made a joke of the Indian top order, looked like taking a wicket every ball, gave away nothing. Should have had Agarkar twice. Speaking of Agarkar, watching him face Lee was hilarious. He looked like he'd never picked up a bat in his life.

Great performance, but it was the WACA, notoriously fast pitch. However cannot take anything away from his line and length. 3-22 of 10 overs is frankly ridiculous against that batting line up, superb, was just a matter of time before he got that sort of form again. Just hope for you aussies he hasn't peaked before the final matches!

I would like to see Brett Lee bowl good on other pitches first before I make a comment on his return to form....the WACA has always been suited to fast bowlers

Exactly. Bichel didn't exactly bowl fantastically today. Brett Lee was absolutely incredible, not to mention the fact that he should've had four.
