Nah Viv was easily a better player of pace than Sidhu was of spin. Sidhu definitely being overrated in this thread

Kambli was reduced to rubble by Murali once he developed the doosra. So was Ganguly. Both these bashed Murali pre-doosra era. Then cam doosra and left handers found it wanting.

I think the 2008 tour to SL solidified in my mind that Sehwag was the next level of spin playing, as others like Tendulkar and Laxman floundered against Murali and Mendis.

90s Indians, and 80s Pakistanis were the best against spin.
Miandad, Imran, Qasim, and few others ended Indian spin quartet's careers.
In the same period, Gavaskar used to call out the Qadir of the hand and play it.
You rarely see that amounts of disdain, even with Lara.

He was a solid batsman against spin.
TBH most Ind/Pak batsmen who made their debut between 1985-2000 were great against spin.
