I think I'm just incapable of maintaining battles, but was desperate to get this going again. Realised I couldn't committ, so sent the details to Hakon.Haha crazy round, nice to see this back up btw. Madras for me.
That would be meHas to be the first tied Test as that was even throughout - unlike the second one where but for Kapil Dev India would have followed on...PS - whoever is making this draw has a sense of humour. Two of the three "winning after following on" Tests drawn together...now the two tied ones....
Doesn't appear to be...Is this match in the battle btw?
I watched some sort of documentary about it, t'was very interesting but I can't remember them pointing out too much bad behaviour.Gabba 1960-61.
Out of interest, has anyone seen the recent doco "Madras Tie", or any other footage of the 2nd Tied Test?
How bad yet very funny was the player behaviour on day 5? Reckon both sides would have failed to field a team for the next match if the series was held now.
Yeah they didn't really point it out, but if u get a chance, have another look at it. AB had a massive row with one of the umpires, who apparently threatened to send him off, and there was a whole heap of ill-tempered stuff between batsmen and bowlers, esp. Matthews and a number of the Indian lower order players.I watched some sort of documentary about it, t'was very interesting but I can't remember them pointing out too much bad behaviour.
