Sorry!

As it stands, I'll be away for a while. The updates might be erratic (i.e. one every two or three days) as I get access to a computer.

In the meantime, please keep voting! ;)

Close, but I'll go with circumstances over weight of runs again. Both innings deserve to make the second round, but Hayden's is the better one.

Pollock.

About the match with Hayden, what the hell was up with Pakistan? 20 wickets lost for 112 runs!
It wasn't a great wicket. Pretty up and down, with a fair bit of turn. But mostly they just went to pieces.

IIRC, the Pakistanis struggled with Warnie's slider that series as well

I remember that Pakistan and Australia series being extremely boring.

Anyways, Hayden gets my vote. Pollock's looks a beast of an innings but the concentration and fitness required to bat for that long in that sort of heat is tremendous.

Whatever it takes!!!
Pollock. I guess haydos did play particularly well, but somehow it never struck me as a great innings. I guess it is because over here, we are more used to the heat etc. But I still think Pollock's inning was better.

Hayden's was a very impressive knock, but that Pollock knock was absolutely brilliant. Have to vote for it.

Tough one this, the 1970 Oz attack doesn't look the best ever put out, but by 2002 Waqar was definitely on the way down. That still leaves Saqlain, Kaneria & Shoaib tho. Hayden is obviously a great player of spin, but the innings does show he has had some success against top class pace. The Pakistan batting efforts do make one wonder how much heart was in their performance tho. I think, on sheer weight of runs, I'll go for

Pollock
