I really wanna go for Murali, because he's kept going well through all the s*** he cops, but it has to be Botham for me, just.

Two things:

1) Should we not count "Moderator"'s vote for Murali in this instance, as they have been banned for holding a multiple account?

2) If so (and I think we shouldn't), I'll swing the pendulum back by voting Murali.

It was 10-10 (so it was said), but things have swung back to 13 or 14-11 for Murali.

Tough one.....Murali

Whatever it takes!!!
Ah... Tough, tough one. I usually prefer to vote for all rounders because I think they do much more than specialists and have a tougher job than them, but that said, I cannot recall any cricketer going through more turmoil than Murali has during his career. For coming out of it all with flying colors and for being one of the best behaved gentlemen in the game and for being a great rolemodel (not exactly with his action, but as a sportsperson in general), I have to go for Murali.

A big sorry to my fellow "all rounders over specialist" camp guys.

Tough one obviously, but like others have said the fact that Murali has achieved so much despite what he has been through for a decade now tils the scale for me. I don't think I could have personally handled all of that. So Murali for me.

20-14 to Murali, and that's the second round!

Here are the fixtures for the "Round of 16".

JB Hobbs vs SR Waugh
GS Sobers vs MD Marshall
-------
GA Headley vs Imran Khan
BC Lara vs GD McGrath

DG Bradman vs SM Gavaskar
A Flower vs SK Warne
-------
MA Holding vs IVA Richards
R Benaud vs M Muralitharan

Gap is half way point, line quarters. So then!

ROUND OF SIXTEEN ----- ----- BATTLE ONE

JB Hobbs (England) (RHB, RM)

SR Waugh(Australia) (RHB,RM)
