Davidson is one of the most underrated cricketers of all time in my opinion, and I hate to see him go, but Imran shades it for me.

Imran. Obviously right in the upper echelon of cricketers, full stop.

I guess second-round may not necessarily be an unreasonable place for Davidson's progress to be ended, but boy some of the Aussies have copped horror matchups in the early rounds. Benaud will probably surpass players like Davidson, Lillee, G Chappell and Keith Miller on personal appeal though...

True but more than likely an Aussie (Bradman) will win in the end.

this is tough, one of the greatest pacers of all time vs one of the greatest batsman of all time....can't decide....

IMO toughest match up yet but for once in my life im goin to be unbiased (Lara is my all time favorite batsman) and vote for the better cricketer and that would be Hadlee. Excellent bowler and not too shabby with the bat. Nuff apologies to Lara however.

Awful matchup, but it's Hadlee for me.

Hadlee has a fair claim to be the best seam bowler of all time, and is definately entrenched within the top 5 for me. On top of that, he could bat a bit. There's very few players I'd vote for ahead of him, as much as I am a fan of Lara.

Jeez, this is difficult. I love Lara as much as any other batsmen i've ever seen but i'm gonna have to give it to the bowling master that is Richard Hadlee .

What an awful match, but I'm going to go with Lara because of his position (IMO) as batsman of the generation and some of his performances which just defy belief.
