It looks like Steketee has finally woken up to how to get batsmen out.

Last season and the start of this one he has started to get bags of wickets instead just one or two.

Its a good sign.

Holy crap at that scorecard at the WACA. 20 wickets in a day. If you get a chance to see the highlights, have a look at how green the deck is. WA in with a shot after conceding about a 100 run first innings lead. Crazy day 2 yesterday.

Honestly I think pitches like that WACA one are pretty much worthless in judging the quality of a bowler/bowling attack in regards to a higher level. No doubt Steketee bowled well yesterday, but he and every other bowler were undoubtedly flattered by the conditions on offer. Don't believe you can draw much about whether someone is good enough from performances on a sort of deck that almost never occurs in test cricket especially here in Australia


I didn't think he was really test quality before, and this performance, albeit impressive, has done nothing to change that

Steke's also done well for Australia A when given the chance, no? Remember him taking a few when india toured here last time, and he did well vs Sri-lanka in the A series when we toured there earlier in the year aswell.
