heh, most glorious days in club cricket are when the newly sponsored outfits all his mates. Suddenly everyone has a cheatstick.Big news in the off-season here is the #Bertmentum has signed a sponsorship deal with GM.
I received an excited call to this effect from Burgeinho last night, who's now looking at snaffling any cast offs from the great man.
Have sent off the CV
best of luck, hope you get itHave sent off the CV
NSW is an ‘up or out’ system and we now need to give new players their opportunity.
Who did they pick then? All their other batsmen over the last few years have just seemed ****. I'm talking Gibson, Larkin etc. Hughes has been decent, K-Pat doesn't seem to be going anywhere though. They haven't even appointed a coach yet. Christ only knows who's had input into these selections. Mad Dog with no contract either. What a fall from grace.
Rather unfortunate. He might have had a case for the test side at some point, especially with the unforeseen events in SA.K-Pat doesn't seem to be going anywhere though.
He's either Ireland eligible or was trying to make himself such by playing there, I can't remember which. He has ties but kind of gave up the dream after NSW started picking him. He averages something Bradmanesque in their domestic three-day comp though.Larkin is Ireland eligible right? If I was him I would be chomping at the bit to pad my FC stats in Ireland and have a glimmer of hope of playing internationals.
glimmer of hope? He'd probably walk in and be one of their best playersLarkin is Ireland eligible right? If I was him I would be chomping at the bit to pad my FC stats in Ireland and have a glimmer of hope of playing internationals.
When your 2 front line spinners are both international prospects and/or violent criminal offenders then it's fair enough to contract a 3rd spinner in that context. Especially since Lyon is basically a certainty to be playing every Test.everyone knows I love Somers Somerville, but I don't see a reason to keep a 34yo, 3rd in line spinner. They've done the absolute bare minimum except in one case, and because they had otherwise done nothing, they look like massive hypocrites for making the Mad Dog decision. If they had dumped Larkin, Somerville, Sandhu (it seems like Sandhu told NSW he was leaving as opposed to being told his services weren't required), Conway and more, and then also dumped Mad Dog, fair enough, but they didn't do that. They delisted someone they'd delisted before, had two guys retire, one leave and then made Mad Dog the face of NSW's failures, where in fact this type of decision marking is the face of NSW's failings over the past few years
They aren't this yearThe tests this season basically run alongside the BBL doesn't it. Haven't looked at the dates, but Indian tests are usually in January
Are SL playing the holiday tests over December and January? They aren't this year
Nah India are playing those, but the Sydney Test is the last Test of the series which sometimes isn't the case when India tour. Are SL playing the holiday tests over December and January?
