The Gabba is great when it's a full house. AB Oval is better at all other times.

Also it turns out that India probably aren't going to play the D/N test in Adelaide. Probably afraid of the swinging ball. That it the BCCI is made up of the biggest bunch of mental dinosaurs in world cricket. This is the same board that didn't believe in DRS until years after everyone else had adopted it.
AB Oval is fine as long as their isn't a drop of rain. A 3 minute light shower a week before the match would probably wash the whole thing out.

That's a shame. The D/N match would be India's best chance of grabbing a win in Australia. Their batsmen are as **** against the moving ball as anyone else, and we have a couple of bowlers who could exploit it.
Don't worry, you've still got one in Adelaide.

Yeah still India's best chance for a win, because Aus will dominate so hard and make so many runs that they'll have to declare twice and give India something chase-able just to make a game of it. Almost worked for India last time.

India are easily favourites for mine. King Kohli will score 600 runs in 4 Tests. India 2 Australia 1 IMO.

Gabba does not deserve a marquee Test as its a ground lacking character, size and beauty.

Indians need to see the beautiful grounds as they are a key player in driving our economy through tourism. I dont think shots of the German Club or the nearby bus interchange will be enough to attract Indians to our shores, so great choice CA.

Daily reminder only one ground in Australia has a functioning pool-deck.

The SCG and Adelaide can suck it.

Can't see the Indians complaining about the facilities at the Gabba, just look at the state of some of the grounds over there.

Be interesting to see what sort of wicket gets rolled out for a day game in Adelaide now having gotten so much credit for how enjoyable the day/night matches have been, with more grass on the wicket.

We'll be complaining very loudly, no matter where in Australia our games are scheduled. You will hear us.

We would be coming over there with the memory of having played on proper cricketing wickets in England still fresh in our minds; after that nothing that you guys can do would be deemed acceptable.

Depends, SA have been pretty prepared to leave grass on the wicket for Shield games for Sayers, Worrall etc.

Hough would have only done one or two day Tests since taking over from Burdett?

Big news in the off-season here is the #Bertmentum has signed a sponsorship deal with GM.

I received an excited call to this effect from Burgeinho last night, who's now looking at snaffling any cast offs from the great man.
