I think it got auto-scheduled by the ICC FTP (or near-enough to, ie. they forced them to schedule it). They always cancel these things though.

And this is one of the big downsides of Ch 10 not getting the rights; they are absolutely battered by AFL/NRL on the other networks that they would’ve jumped at the chance to broadcast this series.

Got to laugh and the lame excuses Oz always bring up for not playing Tests v Bangladesh in Oz. In 2008 a proposed Test tour was whittled down to just ODIs because the Olympics were on.

This Bangladesh cancellation is a real joke and should be a big deal. This series would have been perfect to get a few of the inexperienced guys Test experience and with MMarsh Starc and Cummins presumably unavailable I would have just liked to have seen who played.

Honestly at this point the board that seems to have the interest of cricket at heart the most is the BCCI. Which says an awful, awful lot.

The article mentioned,CA doesn't want to play the Northern summer in Darwin and Cairns.
The cost must outweigh the benefits of a Northern summer up North.

But really pure excuse cause football is on each year.

Appalling behaviour from CA. But what did we expect from the board who put the national game out of reach of the nation. The same board who hung their players out to dry, banning them for an entire year over a one match ban offense. The entire board needs to be sacked.

A Bangladesh tour would have been great for world cricket. If South Africa could host them then so can we.

Thinking about it, it's remarkable that Cricket Australia didn't abandon the Tests for last year's tour of Bangladesh, especially as the player dispute seemed the perfect opportunity for CA to back out of it. And that turned out to have a better Test than the Ashes provided.
