Auction draft

Eyes not spreadsheets
2 muppets in the group and apparently exactly 2 participants decide not to send in their bids. Great.
Indeed, but some bids meant people nearly got the muppets!

2 fails end up paying $1,700,199 for the muppets, Eds and Marcuss, with the following drafted:

W Akram - honestbharani
S Bond - Noble One
A Caddick - Nnanden
H Davis - Eds (default)
A Fraser - Pothas
D Gough - silentstriker
C Grimmett - Blakus
A Kumble - NUFAN
H Larwood - Himannv
S Pollock - G.I.Joe
M Sami - Marcuss (default)
H Streak - pskov
H Tayfield - Somerset
H Verity - Simon
D Vettori - slowfinger

I had to add 7 players this time: W Akram, S Bond, A Kumble, S Pollock, H Streak, H Verity and D Vettori.

The winning bids were (in order): $1, $9, $75,000, $100,002, $220,000, $500,040, $703,000, $814,000, $815,000, $1,050,100, $1,155,011, $1,500,003, $1,700,199.

Entering round 9 we have the 5th batsman, and the following are available for drafting:

Marc, is it possible to post a list of all players taken? That way it's easier to nominate without going back and trying to figure out.

Very disappointed with that. My fault for not nominating sooner but other things took priority this evening.

Got exactly who I wanted in that round. Larwood was the bowler I nominated and my number one bid as well. Needed a bowler of that calibre in my lineup.

Hall and Larwood is some serious fire and brimstone, plus they have Murali to back them up. On the whole rather over the moon with the way this round turned out.

Will take Verity I guess, would have prefered one of the top choices, also not that impressed with the ammount of openers in the next round though.

He might be the weakest player in my side but I always loved Angus Fraser and am pretty happy with the price, a lot depends on getting a good fast bowler but still liking the look of this side.

Very pleased to get Hugh Tayfield for a pretty good price, as that gives me a spinner of quality, even if I believe hes somewhat under-rated when compared to other great spinners in the history of the game.
