Got spanked yesterday by a team who aren't as good as me. They rolled my team for 76, despite my legendary batting depth. No idea what happened there as their bowling attack's no great shakes. Shame thing happened against that team last year.

Dynamo Morpork 279 all out (47.5)
James 133 (120), Porter 69* (78); Glasser 4/48 (9), Nazir 3/65 (8.5)

Philly_Bluenose 275 for two (50)
Lucas 149* (159), Hudson 64 (91); Cort 2/45 (10), Rock 0/35 (10)

Sums up everything that's wrong with this game tbh.

Hope Trev's had a smashing day.

the emphasis placed on stamina, one of the key culprits imo

Set Howland to very attacking against the weakest team in the league, with impressive results:

Howland 183* (144), Ashton 110 (128)

Bloody Americans 165/10 (40.1 overs)
Lancaster 4-30, Watkins 4-52

Middle Order: proficient sensational
Lower Order: mediocre feeble
Seam Bowling: quality phenomenal

Last Wicket: Smith lbw b. Talbot 13 (FOW: 251/7)
Cup Match. Should be an interesting run chase, a RR of 5 is by no means prohibitive, but Attwood and Byfield are out of form at the moment, so I'll need at least one of Dove and Khulelaphi to ton up if I'm to be a chance of winning this.

Last Wicket: Khulelaphi c. Jenkins b. Dormer 27 (FOW: 53/1)
Solid start, especially if Causon can play a long innings and Dove does his usual 50+ score

It's actually Round 4 of the Cup. Next week is Round 5. That said, you won't read this post then post "Round 6" next week and someone else will correct you.

Anyway, I've been drawn away to Ashgrove in Round 5. Will be tough but I should get over him. He's got depth but no real stars, so should be interesting.

Gun, another easy cup win today, Bosnich took 4, bowled them out for 58. We lost Kanelo & Ludlow in the short chase though.

I've drawn ANOTHER home match next round, except this one is going to be a lot harder to win. This bloke is in Div III, but only on the back of his awesome bowling, he's only getting strong top & middle order (or Prof/superb when he re-jigs his batting order).
