Could get a bit ugly when they bowl as well, double digit total is probably odds on. I think Whenuapai are going to be odds on for the Battrick Cup.

Bugger, four down now for 36, Sutton (my only competent batsman) just got out.

5 for 72, my keeper who's feeble bat and proficient concentration just hit a 6

How many more training sessions are there left this season? And inbetween the seasons does training still happen?
Six (including today), and yes (financial updates still happen too so you'll probably lose a bit of money).

(@ 33/3) I'd go with something like:

1.Nutter
2.Turley
3.Dickson
4.Stearman
5.Muirhead (b3)
6.Allott
7.Brady (+)
8.Woolner (b2)
9.Gilroy (b5)
10.Prest (b1)
11.McKenzie (b4, captain)

You could play Brush or Lancaster as WK but neither of them can bat, so I'd just try to sell them and train Brady in 'keeping and batting since he's only 18. Muirhead is only 18 as well so I'd train him in batting and bowling and he'll be decent pretty soon. Mckenzie could be a good bowler if you get his stamina up, but focus on the younger players for now.

It's quite a good starting squad judging by what I've seen from other teams.

Very much got slaughtered today by Nibbs

Whenuapai CC 1/314
Hamshaw 163* (132), Wheat 70 (118), Lennon 61* (53)
Andrew 1/39

Magical Ponies 128 (31.2 overs)
Coldicott 39* (70), Drench 23 (40), Mcveigh 15 (10), Extras 27
Henshaw 4/13 (5.2), Mutasa 2/12 (5), Holmes 2/13 (5), Hamshaw 1/16 (5)

Henshaw shockingly awarded MOTM despite Hamshaw's 163* and 1/16

You know if a team is bot because there name is 'something CC,' all their players are on abysmal form and when you click on the team name, it doesn't have the name of the general manager listed.
Eg:
My team:
General Manager: andyc Online!
Country: Australia
Region: New South Wales
One Day League: #1 in V.95
Ground: Magical Ponies CG

Bot team:
Country: Australia
Region: Western Australia
One Day League: #4 in V.95
Ground: Wonga park CG

What type of pitch is best for your players really depends on your team, obviously. I have a fantastic batting team, although average in the bowling department. I always find it's better to play to your strengths, as in, if your team is strong at batting, set a hard, dry pitch, if your strong with bowling (mind you I have no experience with this, so correct me if I'm wrong), then you may be better off playing a green pitch.

:)

Adamc

I do the opposite - my team is much stronger in batting; I figure they'll do pretty well on most pitches, so I may as well set up my pitch to suit my bowlers rather than my batsmen. I use four seamers and one spinner so I play on a green pitch at home, though green pitches seem to be good for batting as well. Might experiment with cracked and uneven pitches next season if the FC matches are introduced, especially after my seamers had a good day on the cracked pitch on Sunday.

Unfortunately he's still got virtually no chance of winning his first 2 ODI league games. I would also buy a good young player (ie 17 or 18 at most) because you've only got 2 players who're really worth training at the moment. Get a good look at the transfer market for a few days so you know what sort of prices are realistic, I would be looking at players in the region of £150k (I would look for a gun batsman initially, your bowling looks a lot stronger than your batting and a gun bat can make a massive difference - just ask Adam, batsmen should also be cheaper). There's no chance of doing anything the league this season so concentrate on building for next season.
