Heh, wasn't expecting anything less from the tail since none of the bottom three can bat at all. Nice of them to wait until the 50th over to get out though. 295 should be defendable, looking at India's batting ratings from their last match.

Comfortable maiden victory for WI, I'm free for a friendly if anyone wants one - I'm only around the mediocre level match ratings wise at the moment, so I should be readily beatable for most teams.

its annoying imho. don't see the point of having to go back and forth to compare season and career stats.....

EDIT: they've been changed again. much better...

Wow that's my easiest win ever today.

Wongoondy CC 93
Cave 6/18 (7.1), Andrew 2/27 (5), Heard 1/16 (5)

Magical Ponies 0/94 (16.2 overs)
Andrew 49* (64), Kenna 39* (38)

At one stage they were 5/8, and then 6/11.
MOTM is obviously Cave

Kipper XI v Mortdale CC @ Trentington Oval

Mortdale CC: 10-215

McClenn 41
Vernon 4-37 (9.5)
Brydon 3-20 (10)

Kipper XI: 1-219 (33.3)

Brydon 98*
Dove 53*
Waterhouse 56

MOTM: Vernon (4-37)

My MOTM: Brydon (3-20 & 98*)

Very easy win there, Dove continues his strong form as does Brydon.

Dunno what's with the MOTM though????

Grrrr, the new team I'm playing had a player (they haven't bought any players) who smacks 60odd off 50 balls against my strong bowler... not impressed. Have pretty much throttled the scoring since, but they'll still get 250+ without a collapse.

By the way I'm thinking about possibly giving my 28 yo bowler some fielding training (to get consistency pops - I figure 1 or 2 extra levels of consistency would make a huge difference to him), is there anyway that gives any idea how long the training times would be?

Not sure exactly how long it would be, but at the moment I imagine it would take an inordinately long time. In the last Q&A it was mentioned that training times for older players will be changed soon for stamina and secondaries (presumably to make them quicker), so probably better waiting until those changes are implemented.

Bowled them out for 191 off 46.5 overs after they were 104-0 after 17 overs, with my best bowler having 2 overs left to bowl (he finished with the worst bowling figures of the team). *Should* knock those off comfortably as it looks like their best bowler is only competent and my top 4 are all better than that.

With regards to my 28yo strong bowler, I'll wait til the changes are made. It's a bit annoying tho when he's getting matched by his opening bowling partner who's only competent.

Actually I'm being generous when I say 'matched' - here are the career figures:

Street:
Bowling O M R W Ave SR Econ Best 5wi
Season 111 18 384 43 8.93 15.49 3.46 7-30 3

Emmanuel:
Bowling O M R W Ave SR Econ Best 5wi
Season 133 14 535 33 16.21 24.18 4.02 5-29 1

Emmanuel is the strong bowler. Street competent.

Done, I've only one proper spinner in my squad (who's still worse than my best 5 bowlers who I normally pick) so it's on my ground (green pitch). Oh and you won easily, chased your target of 147 inside of 21 overs.

Sugden shows he is truly superman, with this giant effort.

Sugden 10 2 24 4 0 0

Dilhan, who I bought in 2 weeks ago, finishes the match, with the only 50.

Dilhan not out 51 75 4 2

Dimmocks Logic 194 (40.3) were beaten by Jamees 999ers 195/4 (39) by 6 wickets.

On a cracked pitch that's very pleasing.

That win keeps us in a solid 6th, one win and huge NRR behind 5th. Next week I take on the 4th place team, after that 2nd, then 8th.

I'm playing cameeel this week, but then may drop friendlies until Christmas (Christmas Day cricket, should be fun ;))

Hmm was worried about today's match - fitness was fatigued and i'm on TIE - just accessed my game and saw they are 121-1 after 23.

Then i realised i batted first and made 365-3 and it's all good
