I should defend that, happy that my trainees got some smashing in, but disappointed in my other two batsmen.

The match engine has definitely been changed. The best team in Australia (based on last season) got rolled for 33. Way too many collapses, and not just in the final ten overs either. I think it's something to do with Allan making it harder for batsmen to end up with huge averages as he mentioned in the Q+A - seems to have gone overboard with the changes.

yeah but quality batsmen should have higher averages if they face mediocre bowlers.... well i hope you get what i mean

Im playing the team that came equal 2nd with me last season. So its a pretty important game for us. If we loss we pretty much got no chance of promotion. I know its only the 2nd week, but there another team in the comp that a lot better then both of us. I think i might be able to beat them at the back end of the season, when some of my trainees have popped.

Any pretty even match so far i lost two of my strong batsmen after they both made starts. They have there best bowler on ATM and my boys are looking to go after him. Not sure if thats the best idea, but if it comes it could be easy win:

End of Over 20: 101-2, runrate=5.05
Lorensuhewa 5-0-29-1
Nurse* 41 (62 balls)
Clayton 23 (21 balls)

Last Wicket: Ellis b. Lorensuhewa 17 (FOW: 65/2)

Need these two to put on a big partnership as i rather the guys below them to finish of the innings. Hopefully Lorensuhewa doesn't take another wicket.

EDIT: They just took him off usually they bowl him out, interesting...

pulled these off the sledging board

77.1 . Kempson to Welsby
That shot was about as good as my youth pulls!

19.1 4 Weight to Lawerence
Weight's delivery is too short and Lawerence dispatches it past square leg, one bounce, to the fence. If there's one thing Lawerence can do, it's pull. Just ask the ladies in the local nightclub

3.5 . Gate to Broad
That cloud towards the south looks just like a famous commentator! Marvellous.

69.3 . Boyce to Etherington
This one is played back to the bowler. Oh! There's a bus going down the road ... and he's gone through a red light! He nearly knocked that old lady off her bike!

Well, the Ponies won, but our ratings continue to slide.

Noonan CC 154 (41.5)
Norris 5/41 (10), Erasmus 4/15 (5.5), Canning 1/34 (10)

Magical Ponies 3/157
Kilkenny 69* (65), Tedstone 31 (25), Griffin 22 (26)

Noonan CC Magical Ponies
Top Order: mediocre mediocre
Middle Order: feeble mediocre
Lower Order: worthless abysmal
Seam Bowling: feeble competent
Spin Bowling: mediocre competent
Fielding: feeble abysmal
MOTM: Norris

My ratings are awful; last season, I was consistently getting respectable top order and spin. Now, despite the nets that those players are getting (while being at full fitness still), they've been dropping.

A roller coaster innings by my boys, everyone pretty much got starts with three guys getting 50s: Nurse, Clayton (his first) and Quintin. We ended up setting 283 for them to win. Could have been over 300 if it wasn't for a lower order collaspe. I was thinking about getting in a 2nd all rounder and after this i think i might look a bit harder.

Pretty steady start by them but nothing special. The only thing that im worried about is that in the last couple games i've knocked over their top order pretty quickly, so im not sure how good these guys are. They have always smashed the crap bowler in the weak teams, but against me and the other good team in our divison last year they usually failed.

End of Over 6: 32-0, runrate=5.33, reqrunrate=5.70 (282-10)
Priyantha 3-0-19-0
Amarakoon* 15 (14 balls)
Jayawardene 13 (22 balls)

Hmm that last over hurt 22.4..

Shock loss today. Not happy. They scored 310, which by itself is not a shock, but then Mccammon fell for only 49. Ended up losing by 4 runs despite Saunders unbeaten 133*

Really need to get my spinner and Allen in the fray soon:

Mirage Devils Got Spin
Top Order: mediocre superb
Middle Order: feeble woeful
Lower Order: worthless abysmal
Seam Bowling: competent feeble
Spin Bowling: feeble useless
Fielding: mediocre woeful

Ouch is about all i can say for Clapo's XI today!

Meyer (Bowl), Stroud (Bat) & Taylor(Bat) were the only players to show some sort of resistence in a 123 run loss

Fnord East 5-304(50 overs)
Lefu 145(131) Coe 76(108)
Walton 2-72(10) Groves 2-71(10) Meyer 1-43(10

Clapo's XI 10-181(38.8 Overs)
Stround 55(64) Taylor 41(52)
Bangash 5-34(9) Chikosi 3-37(9.3)

Clapo's XI Fnord East
Top Order: mediocre mediocre
Middle Order: feeble feeble
Lower Order: abysmal abysmal
Seam Bowling: mediocre mediocre
Spin Bowling: feeble competent
Fielding: woeful feeble

What made the loss even more devastating was the fact that this was 1 of only 2 teams i had a chance of beating  Hopefully i can pull one back though later in the season once my trainee's have had some pops!!

I still got the upper hand, but as long as Amarakoon stays in they still have a chance. I really need to get him out soon. I think there might be a lot of runs scored in this ten overs, both bowlers have woeful stamina.

End of Over 32: 160-2, runrate=5.00, reqrunrate=6.83 (282-10)
Muralitharan 6-0-27-0
Amarakoon* 85 (78 balls)
Mohamed 13 (12 balls)

Current over: .61

Yea, and he's probably left the slightly below average batsmen that average single figures alone.
